Dual High-Quality Gold Plated Speaker Banana Plugs, Red

Banana plugs make speaker installation a breeze. They are designed for use with amplifiers or speakers that use traditional binding posts. Not only is it easier to make the connection on the back of your amp, it is safer, with no chance of stray wire strands creating a short across contacts.

This high-quality dual plug has two banana plugs spaced 3/4" center-to-center with a red plastic yoke, the typical distance between binding posts on speakers. The plugs are the open screw type and can accept bare wire, spades, or other banana plugs. They are sized to fit speaker wire from 12 to 18 AWG. Each pair comes with one plug color coded red and the other coded black, for easy polarity identification.

The plug body is made of brass, which is then plated with gold to help prevent corrosion and ensure smooth connections.

    • Can accept bare wire, spades, or other banana plugs
    • Can accept 12 to 18 AWG speaker wires
    • Color coded black/red rings for maintaining proper polarity
    • Secure, positive contact with binding posts
    • Corrosion resistant, 24K gold plated brass plug
    • Red plastic binding yoke

Pros: These work perfectly for a fraction of the price of other competing products.
They look good and you can get them in Black or red, depending on personal preference.

Cons: Check the spacing on your device./speaker/plate.
A little light and the screws threads have a lot of play/tolerance built into them.

I like these a lot. I use them exclusively in my whole home audio system between the receiver and the all plate. They look really professional, which is important because you can see them in my living room near the receiver. I plug them into Monoprice wall plates with 4 conductor cable. and a pair of connectors to each room. It looks great and makes a solid connection that is easy to move and change.. These fit with a Monoprice wall plate perfectly, but they don't fit on my tower speakers because the posts are too far apart, but they do fit on my surround speakers and my Pioneer Elite receiver. Measure your components first.

Pros: Simple and easy, just strip the wire, stick in the hole, and tighten the thumb screws. Standard banana plug spacing works with a lot of gear, but not all (read other reviews). Fits perfectly on my Carver AV-64 and M-4.0t, Denon AVR-E300, etc.

Cons: Holy smokes these things are long. They stand off the back of your equipment a LONG way, well over an inch. Keep this in mind if you are space constrained. There is also no molded-in loop or channel of any kind to secure the speaker wire. Many other dual banana plugs include at least something to run the wire through, and/or to run a nylon wire (zip) tie through to secure your speaker wire. These do not.

Banana plugs are about the simplest method for making a secure but easily removable speaker connection, and these don't disappoint - especially considering the cost. They are not without minor caveats, however, but in the end they fit the bill nicely.

Pros: Good quality and low cost.

Cons: Doesn't fit well in speaker input terminal sockets.

I bought these banana plugs to connect the wire from my amplifier to my speaker input terminal five way binding post. The plug tip fits way too loose inside the input terminal post resulting in a poor connection.
