    Pros: inexpensive, good sound

Cons: The fit needs a bit of tweaking, but, still trying the different sized cushions provided.

I am pleased with the balance of the sound, although they could have just a bit more bass. I am still working to get the cushions right though trying the different sizes provided.

    Pros: Great price
    EXCELLENT sound quality

    Cons: Low power handling
Poor markings for Left & Right sides

These are surprisingly great little earbuds! I ordered a few of them to have some cheapos for my kids who are constantly breaking or losing them. However, I ended up trading with one of the kids because these sound better than the JBL set I already had! It was a cheap set of JBL's, but still...JBL! These are NOT high-power earbuds by any means, but they have great sound quality at reasonable volumes.

The pads are comfortable, and come with multiple sizes for different people. They seal in the ear very nicely, too. They are effective at blocking out enough ambient noise to make your music more enjoyable, but not so much that you're cut off from the world (I can still hear when someone calls my name, or an approaching car when I'm out walking).

The low end of these things is what really sets them apart from other cheap earbuds. They have excellent bass reproduction! Again, they can't handle high volume without distorting, but at normal volumes, they can really boom. I use them with PowerAmp Music Player on my 2nd gen Moto X. The app has great EQ controls, and a brilliant limiter. With the limiter enabled, I can set the bass and volume where I want it, and it just cuts back the power a little bit to keep it from distorting the earbuds. It is a bit noticeable when it happens, but not so much that it's a problem. If anything, it's probably a safer way to listen as it's still plenty loud enough to enjoy when I'm walking along a busy street on the way to work, and never loud enough to cause hearing damage. To be clear, though, the limiter is a feature of the app on my phone, NOT the earbuds. These earbuds are CAPABLE of reproducing great low end, but they can't handle much power, so without a limiter, they will distort and disappoint you. Then again, for the price, even that isn't very disappointing! If these had cost more than they did, I would have taken away a star or two for the low power handling, but at this price, I'm not complaining. The JBL's these replaced could handle a lot more power (much louder), but didn't have near the dynamic range or bass reproduction. It's MUCH more enjoyable to sacrifice a little volume for better quality sound, IMO.

They also seem pretty durable, too. I've yanked them out when they got hooked on something, and dropped my phone while connected to them a couple times, and it hasn't affected them at all. The pads don't just pop off easily, either, which is something you think about when it happens all the time on others. All the ones I gave the kids have survived so far, too!

Aside from the low power handling, the only other improvement I would request is better marking for Left and Right. Currently, there is only a "L" or "R" molded into the rubber on the tab that holds the wire in place. It's not colored, and is behind the wire, so it takes more than a quick glance to make sure you're putting the right side in the right ear. A small band of red on one and white on the other would be more convenient. Again, that's a very minor issue, though.

    Pretty Nice But...

Pros: Looks, cord, price, flat frequency response

Cons: Not very powerful extreme low end, not the easiest fitment in ear in my case. Prefer right angle vs. straight plug

I picked up a pair of these and so far I have about 12 hours of break in on them. I have mixed feelings about them. As a middle-aged former audiophile who doesn't have the golden ears of past I have some issues with them. First the high end has little siblance which is great, I hate the raspy sss sounds. They are very accurate. However compared my go to earbuds (the Panasonic RP-HJE120) they sound somewhat recessed. The Panasonics have a very up front sound to them in comparison. Admittedly the bass is not very flat in the Panasonics compared to the Monoprice but sometimes flatter isnt better the Panasonics are fully capable of subwoofer like bass that can rattle your eardrums. The Monoprice buds have a tendency to sound over driven abd distirted if you pump up the bass too much. The cord is great and the looks are much sharper looking than the Panasonics. Now the fit. For some reason I just can't get them to seat as well as the Panasonics, even with the same cushions. Perhaps it's the shape of the earpiece. The Monoprice units have round a earpiece and the Panasonics are oval. They are keeper though and will continue the breakin period and hopefully the sound will open up a bit more.

So far the best cheap earbuds I have ever bought.

    Pros: Good sound
    Grips for removing and positioning
    Good comfortable fit and seal
    Good sound
Quality look and feel to the connectors and junctions.

Cons: I'll let you know if i come up with any...

I am limited to cheap earbuds, because I lose them constantly. Thus, I feel like a connoisseur of the genre.

These have a really great fit in my ears. Snug and good seal without discomfort. Also, there is a flap to grab them by, which will no doubt pay off down the road in cable life.

The cable is nice, very flexible and springy, not like the typical vinyl that gets stiff in cold weather, which one expects in cheap earbuds.

Finally (and of course very important) They sound great. Nice tactile bass. All the sounds and presence. I feel like these are really high fidelity headphones...
