Blu Streak 3-Button Optical Mouse - Black

Mouse around in style with this Blu Streak 3-Button Optical Mouse from Monoprice!

This attractive USB mouse features a soft-touch, rubber-coated, silky smooth upper surface. The sides of the mouse are pebbled for improved grip. When plugged into an active USB port the hash marks atop the mouse emit a soft, blue glow.

The mouse measures about 3 7/8" long and 2 3/8" wide. The domed upper surface peaks at about 1 1/2" height. The attached USB cord measures about 60" in length.

No installation or drivers are required. Just plug it in and it works!

Blu Streak 3-Button Optical Mouse PID 9255

Pros: lightweight
super affordable

Cons: doesn't feel as well made as PID 11153
scroll wheel doesn't feel as solid/stable

for a super affordable wired mouse (below $10.00) can't really complain. I bought this Blu Streak PID 9255 to work with my thinkpad x200s notebook pc. My wife saw the Blu streak mouse, now she wants one for her PC. Her current Logitech mouse..the scroll wheel is a clicky type..she tried the Blu-streak and she prefers the feel of that scroll wheel. I've read that this Blu streak has a lot of negative reviews against it. However for a mouse under $10.00 USD, are you expecting the same experience as a mouse that retails for over $20 or $30? I personally like my PID 11153 6-key gaming mouse..I hope Monoprice will bring it back in stock, cause I also sold that model to a blind client and they like it..the back and forward buttons near the left side of PID 11153 is what they needed. When I need another gaming mouse might give the or a a mouse with forward and back buttons might give the PID 9258 a try. So far nothing bad to say about PID 9255. Will update again if something happens in the near future.

Not worth it

Pros: When it was new, it was a great mouse. Awesome feed back, no need to adjust dpi.
Plus the blue LED is a nice addition.

Cons: Here's where it turned me off.
After about two months, it started to double click randomly, as well as click on its own.
If you try and click and hold, it's impossible to highlight text because it wants to click over and over

It's a cheap mouse that failed for me. I used it for work, so not click intensive, and it just doesn't work.
It's sad because it's a nice compact mouse, but it's sat in a drawer every since I bought it.
I would suggest spending a little more for a well known mouse.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues with the random clicking. Does the same issue occur when testing on another USB port or computer? I will be informing our product managers as well as submitting a complaint regarding this issue. Also, I see that you already have an RMA in place. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Decent Mouse

Pros: LED Lighting
Inexpensive (especially for the quality)
Doesn't require drivers

Cons: Only comes with a blue LED, I would love to see other options in terms of LED color.
The mouse wheel squeaks and has sense I bought the mouse.
Some of the red light from the optical sensor shines through the blue LED

Besides the above there isn't much more I could ask for from such an inexpensive mouse, and I'm sure that it is rated for 500,000 clicks or something like that, but I've been using mine for over a year. I literally use it every day about 75% of its usage is for a certain game that is block-ish, and with the mouse I've used software to record the amount of clicks I've input into the mouse. For the left button I have over 1,000,000 clicks and only now does it begin to give me problems. I plan on getting another one soon.

Pros: Good size, runs smoothly

It's a mouse. I liked the first one I bought, so I got another. It's a nice size, and the lights are kinda cool looking.
