    Terrible Product

    Pros: Small, light

    Cons: Poorly constructed, unreliable.

This little cube USB hub literally fell apart in my hands when I plugged a USB cable into it. The green cover came away from the black end pieces. So I held it together and plugged in all the cables, only to discover that only two of the four USB ports worked. All-in-all, it is a terrible product. For the price, it was not even worth returning.

    Hello,

Truly sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered with PID 10067. Would you be able to send a photo of the cube? Have you tried different USB cables for the ports or connecting to different devices? Does the issue remain? Please let me know so that I may further assist you.

    Simple & Works

    Pros: Small. Works.

Cons: No indication of what type of AC adaptor to use.

Simple, compact design seems like it would hold up well to normal use. I appreciate that there is a socket for an AC adaptor, but there is no indication either on the unit itself or the packaging, or the Monoprice website stating what voltage or polarity plug to use. It's a thoughtful feature, but not terribly useful if it isn't supported.

    Hi Greg,

I apologize for the lack of information. PID 10067 uses a 5V, 2A adapter. 3.5mm OD 1mm ID . Without the adapter, the total power is 500mAh for 4 ports. With the 5V 2A adapter, each port is about 500mAh. Thank you for your feedback and hope this helps!

    Pros: * Attractive Finish
    * Mini-USB connector with cable for attaching to computer very convenient
    * Like that there is a DC connector so that I could add a power supply if desired.

Cons: None I can think of.

I would recommend this product to others.

    Bought 2, neither worked

    Pros: - Physically attractive
    - Nice aluminum shell
    - Cheap

    Cons: - Doesn't work
    - Mini USB instead of micro USB

I bought two of these, one in green and one in black. Neither one works at all on my system (Haswell i5 laptop, Linux Mint 17). I tried USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Since neither one works, I figure the design is incompatible rather than just defective. Here's the syslog after plugging one in without any devices attached:

Sep 19 20:26:46 hostname kernel: [ 28.642523] hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2

After those errors the system logs no activity when devices are plugged/unplugged on the hub, and devices plugged into the hub remain unpowered. I've never seen a USB hub that didn't work out of the box. At least they were cheap. I'm using one to organize some of my tiny wifi and bluetooth dongles.

    Hello,

Thank you for your review. And I am truly sorry to hear of your experience you have had with this product.

For now, if possible, please try a couple of troubleshooting techniques with me to see if we can resolve your issue.

Have you tried a different computer?

What about a different operating system?

Have you also tried a different set of USB ports?

Please let me know if the problems still occur. If it does, I can assist you in obtaining a replacement or a return RMA to see if a replacement will work better. We do have a lifetime warranty on cables as well as a 1 year warranty for everything else. And obtaining a replacement is of no additional cost.
