Cables started failing after 2 months of use

I bought 3 of these cables for use in cars to eliminate any interference on the radio when charging my devices. Within a month the micro-usb end on one cable would not make reliable contact with my phones and within 3 months all three cables are completely unreliable. In the same monoprice order I purchased 4 other types of micro-usb cables that see more use than these and are still rock solid.

Pros: Charges quick, unlike other aftermarket cables. Data transfer not an issue. Sturdy construction.

Cons: Cable is thick, but I guess that's why you're buying this cable, for a larger gauge.

Charge speed is what I bought this cable for and it delivers. Charges my phone in 1.5 hrs compared to a few hours with other aftermarket cables (using same charger).

Pros: Nice thick cord feels solid, allows full-speed charging of devices, especially useful for QuickCharge compatible devices. Doesn't break down as fast as many other cords.

Cons: Need to trim the head just a shade so that it connects securely to my phone (both my current and my previous one) when it's in its case. It's easy to cut with a utility knife though I just take the edge down a bit.

A great cable that lasts. I don't know how people chew through ends as fast as they do mine seem to last a year or so but the ones I give to people sometimes only last a few weeks. Anyway, this is the cord to get if you want to charge your devices from less than 3' away from the power source. I use this in the car and my girlfriend has her power adapter plugged in on her desk top, both are locations where a long cord is a pain. 3' is too short to reach into the back seat if you need to charge anything back there, but for the driver and the front passenger it's perfect.
