Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones - Silver

With a stylish design and a premium fabric-covered cord, these Monoprice earphones will prompt complete strangers to ask you where you got them, but you won't hear a word they say as you rock on down the highway!

Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit.

The 48" cord is completely covered in fabric, which helps prevent breakages. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors.

The end result is a pair of earphones that are made for the rigors of daily use from the music fan on the go! Amazing sound clarity, hard-rocking bass, and durability. Who could ask for more?

What? You want Aerosmith to play at your birthday party? OK, you CAN ask for more!

Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

    Pros: Inexpensive-Well constructed-Nice cord & jack-Low distortion-Efficient/loud-

Cons: Large physically-Bass thin for the size-Low budget tips(to be expected)-Difficult fit(that's just me?)

It is unduly unfair to compare these to just about anything because of its price tag. If all you have to spend is $5, then you are going to be elated with the value you receive. Some people on Amazon are comparing these to earbuds 20 times the price (here) and 5 times the price online. So here is the skinny with price being not considered....the sound is good, some program material sounds better than others. Enhanced bass?...not really. The bass is tight and fits in well with the amplitude of the accompanying instruments, but if you want forward sounding bass, look elsewhere.. The fit...depends on your ear structure.. Use other or upgraded tips and that will help. The cord and jack...looks upscale and durable with the cloth cord being a nice touch. In summary, these should please you and for under $10 to your door, it is, in a worst case scenario, a spare set of buds to use when you others break. Best case is you love them and buy 5 pair for $20 to your door, like I did....now a $4.00 earbud.

    Cons: none

One word, WOW. I have used a pair of bose earbuds for a few years that I once thought were amazing. Now that I've heard how well these sound, I'll never waste money on bose again. I'm severely impressed with such a cheap earbud set. The range is so wide on these. The highs are high, and the lows are low. It really feels like I'm at a concert when I put these on and play some high quality audio.

Not only do they sound amazing, but the build quality is also impressive for the price. With a fabric woven cable, these things will last for years.

Pros: The best you can get for below $15
Sound quality is reasonable for the price
Cable appears to be indestructible in everyday use
Fits the same eartips that most cheap generic IEMs use

Cons: Will kill your ears after a couple minutes, especially if you have small ears
    Not actually "enhanced bass"
Can sound sort of harsh on some songs
    Cable is tangle-prone
    Pretty ugly

I've had a pair of these for over a year. I've been using them alongside some other beginner audiophile staples such as the Koss PortaPro, PRODJ100 and ATH-M50S, and other lower end IEMs such as the MEE Audio M6. For what it's worth, I don't see the hype - sure, you can buy them from around $3 to $8, and I wouldn't say there's anything remotely around that price that sounds like these - however, personally, I find the sound quality nothing remarkable. The highs are clear, but sometimes harsh. The mids alright, but are quite average. The bass (despite being described as 'enhanced') is disappointingly mediocre. Aside from that, due to the large housing and the unnecessary sharp edges (though they're only on the outer facing part of the earpiece), the fit eventually becomes quite uncomfortable after a short time especially with small ears. I've tried several combinations of eartips - both stock and third party - and none of them really improve the sound or comfort enough for me to give these a higher rating. Overall, for $3 you can't really go wrong if you need a cheap pair, but if you ask me your money would be better spent buying something else (or at most buying these as a backup for a more expensive pair).

However, I would like to mention that the cable is pretty durable - it looks and feels cheap, tangles sometimes, and you will NEVER get the folds and bends out, but unlike any other pair of in-ears in my life I still haven't broken the cable after over a year of use. I honestly bought a second pair of these as soon as they went on sale for $3 just to take the cable out and solder them into a broken pair of headphones - you can't get a $3 cable like this from anywhere else!
