It works... Even with my Android powered Note 2 when using an OTG cable from monoprice.
I work in the field of data communication cabling and rely on expensive devices to test installed cabling to ensure reliable connectivity between network devices around an electronics manufacturing complex to it's network system. Being an advocate of open source software and affordable products, I decided to try to figure out a way to make my existing equipment perform simple functions to ensure connectivity to active switch ports from data drops I have installed. Using the micro male to standard female USB 'OTG' adapter from monoprice, a free Android app, and this great NIC, I am now able to acquire an IP address on my cell phone through ethernet! So when I don't have the $500 or $1700 tester and need to check a drop for our client, I can get what I need using this and bill for it all the same. Thank you, monoprice.com!

PROS: Link and transfer lights are different colors and are helpful.

    CONS: Doesn't exactly run cool.

USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter PID 9468
Rather than spend $60 for the Microsoft USB to ethernet adapter for the Surface RT, I tried this one. (My other Monoprice USB dongle, PID 9467, did not work in Windows RT.) This one does. It will not autoinstall, so you have to manually install the driver manually. Go to Control Panel, Network Adapters, and do a manual driver install for the "ASIX AX8877C USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter." It took longer to cut off the packaging than it did to install....... Way to go Monoprice!

PROS: This adapter absolutely positively works with Windows RT 8.1 when used with the Microsoft-supplied ASIX AX8877C driver.

CONS: Be careful not to order any dongle but this PID - 9468, for the Surface RT running Windows 8.1.

The driver CD was scratched, but I didn't need it for my application.

    PROS: reliable

    compatible with macbook air 2013

    CONS: none

    Just what I needed
    Ordered 5/14/2016
    Arrived 5/18/2016

Primarily using the adapter to play Smash 4

Plugged the adapter into my desktop and Windows 10 reads it as AXIS AX88772 Fast Ethernet

    *WARNING*

This is THE driver that Wii/WiiU consoles use. No other drivers in this series will work (AX88772A, AX88772B, AX88772C, ect)

The WiiU uses an HTML 5 browser to load content online. However, when trying to test speeds, it will run out of available memory and not complete the test.

Started online games at 7:25pm 5/18/2016
After an hour of gameplay, there was moderate to no lag on 1v1 For Glory. Your mileage may very.
    Using a 10ft Cat5e cable.

Thank you Monoprice for making this product readily available at a reasonable price.

PROS: Matte Black finish. Will not leave fingerprint smudge.
Well built. Does not rattle when you shake it. (Not that it should)
Slim design. Way smaller than other comparable devices.
    Price. Best deal around.

CONS: Packaging is heat-pressed around the entire edge. You will need scissors or a box cutter to open
Does not have Official Nintendo Seal
Did not come with a bag of chips.

ASIX AX88772A Programmed to Report AX88772
This is USB Vendor ID 0x0B95, Product-ID 0x7720, Asix AX88772A hardware (PID reports 7720 rather than 772A, hardware is backward compatible with 7720 so USB host doesn't care, it just cannot take advantage of the 772A extensions). Drivers available for LoseDoze XP, Vista, & 7, 8, CE, Fruity Mac, Linux at Asix web site:

    http://www.asix.com.tw

Also supported by QNX (network driver devn-asix.so).

This is basically the same hardware as MP6150 in a different package but also reports AX88772 to the USB host for Wii compatibility.

PROS: Cheap, fully functional 10/100Mbps Ethernet adapter

Plugged it into the Wii and connected to the network.
I actually use this with the Monoprice Powerline Converter (part number 9920)
I love both of these - use the 9920 into my BluRay as well and solved my Netflix screen freezes when view in HD

    PROS: No setup required

    CONS: None
