It is compatible with legacy PCs running Windows® 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista®, 7, or 8. It is also compatible with Linux.

Pros: needed an 2.0 USB port on an older PC i still use & this was what i needed. Arrived as expected & was plug & play.

I run a fedora linux machine and this kind of hardware can sometimes be a bit of pain. I turned the machine off, plugged it in, turned it on, it worked. I had a few external hard disks up and running in no time. No hassle, no drivers required, it literally just worked when I plugged it in.
