Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

Fixed My ARC Issues - so far

    Pros: Pros:
    fixed my arc issues
    picture quality is good
    super thin flexible cable

    Cons: Cons:
can not use in walls, will need to use conduit.

Just got a new 4K TV and had struggled getting arc set up. I would never thought it would of been cables since I had a set of highspeed Ethernet flat cables I bought from monoprice 5 years or so ago. But being happy with those cables on my old set, and trying everything from resets, firmware etc... I decided to go with these ones. was hesitant to spend extra few dollars since I had no real need for redmere as everything I had was with in 6 feet and did not read any proof on improving act performance but went for it anyways.

So far, although I don't notice much of picture difference, It did however seem to have subsided my arc issues (random sound drops and pops). I can now feed all the inputs on my TV and let my TV drive my home theatre instead of the other way around which is what I wanted to do in the first place.

would recommend to any one who needs to look to fix arc issues.

TV will get a THX calibration, will share the performance of the cables once this is done.

    Cons: None

When my Dr asked my AV system to lose weight I bought these, she lost so much weight that Red dresses are worn everyday.

    Pros: Thin
    Handles 4K and 3D well.
    It Works!

    Cons: NONE

I bought this cable not knowing what to expect, but hoping that it would work in my new 4k tv by Samsung. It works great! It has no issues with 3d, 4k, anything.. I have it hooked up to my PS4 and works flawlessly. It is very thin! As other users have stated, just make sure that you are connecting the right ends to the right devices as it is an active cable and can only work one way. I will be buying more of these for my other devices. THANKS!

Pros: They slim and much more flexible than old bulky HDMI cables.

    Cons: Wish they were slimmer?

Working well with 4K. Love these slim HDMI cables whereas places like Best Buy will charge you 3x for the same cable.

Pros: lightweight easy to install, works fine, have hdmi connected direct from tv to dvd & tv to cable box

Cons: Because my older Onkyo receiver TX-SR805 ( about 7 years old ) doesn’t have 3D pass through capabilities was forced to go HDM direct from TV to DVD player
The problem i occurred when i hooked up the 18 Gbps cable from DVD play HDMI Sub Connection to receiver in
Put receiver in DVD mode & audio pass through works briefly then no sound with receiver display showing no signal
tried reconnecting my older mono price HDMI cable back between dvd & receiver but still no sound
everything worked fine for about 5 years, but since bought 4 k tv & 4k dvd player hooked up with the new 18Gbps cable, no sound from receiver to dvd player
    any ideas

Over all good cables , not sure what my problem is, possibly my older receiver not compatible with these new HDMI cables

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. The thing about Active/Redmere cables is that they are directional. You would want to make sure that the side labeled "Source" is plugged into the source device and the side labeled "Display" or "TV" is connected to a Display. It will not work if plugged in backwards. Also because of this it is not reliable to be used to connect a source to the input of a receiver. We recommend for connecting sources to a receiver to use a thicker 24AWG HDMI cable for the most reliable signal. The Active/Redmere cables can be used with receivers but it would be from the output of a receiver to the input of a display. If I may ask do the cables work fine when connecting them directly from the source device to the display?
