Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

Pros: Surprisingly thin,.Strong , Precise connector

    Cons: Too much packaging

Spark up the rear panel decor of your home theater! These cables came as a real surprise. Was not expecting such thin, highly flexible wires. They have allowed a more practical rearrangement of components in the home theater. Maybe should be "Theatre" as these class up the unseen side of the black boxes so much. Actually surprised again by how secure the connectors are.

    Pros: slim, easily mangeable

    Cons: none

I have always purchased the super thick monoprice hdmi cables in the past. i will not be ordering those anymore. the connections a snug, they don't back out of the ports like the heavier cables tend to. will only purchase these in the future

    Cons: do not work......blank screeen

I purchased 3 of these cables and have a very nice high end system. I tried these and they did not work for me.....no audio or video. . I ended up using some other HDMI cables I purchased from Monoprice. I do not like leaving Monoprice a bad review like this because I have always been very happy with their products and their service.

    Hi Mark,

My apologies for the trouble experienced with PID 10764. Please note that Redmere cables are directional with labeled cable connector heads. The "source" end has to be connected to the source device (Bluray player, gaming console, cable box, etc.) and the "TV" end has to be connected to the display (TV, projector, monitor, etc.). Can we check the direction of the three cables to ensure they are in the correct orientation? Should that not work, please provide me with more information regarding the setup such as what devices are being used including any adapters, extensions, wall plates, etc. if applicable. Thank you and I hope this helps!

    Redmere 15ft Cable

    Pros: Thin!

Cons: Easily twisted and bent...not sure if it affects the quality of the signal, or if the cable is degrading to the point of finally breaking.

I travel quite a bit and some nights need a way to connect my laptop to the TV in my hotel room, so I can watch a movie. I originally bought one of these cables because of the length and the fact that it was "ultra-slim". They are MUCH thinner and easier to use when traveling.

My only complaint though, is that while the cables are very thin, they seem to twist and kink so much that they appear near failure. So far I've had no problem with them working, but, I since I run signal at 720i in a hotel, I can't really tell you if the signal is degraded or not.

    Pros: None for my application

Cons: Did not work when connected to a balun. Worked poorly (audio drops) with DirectTV mini wireless receivers

Cables did not work in my application but Monoprice did authorize a return. I have returned the cables and am awaiting a refund.
