Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology, 40ft

Reliably connect your home theater equipment to greater distances than with passive cables using this Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable supports the following general features:

    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • CL2 in-wall fire safety rating
    • 28AWG copper conductors
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

TIP: It is a good idea to test cables and connections before installing them inside a wall. If there are any issues or problems, we can help you resolve them before you spend the time, effort, and expense of installing them inside the walls.

    Functional Cable.

Pros: Being an active cable means it doesn't need conductors as thick as otherwise necessary. The device end plug is slightly bigger, but it means that the cable is quite flexible. 6 inch radius of curvature doesn't put too much strain on this cable.

Cons: The cable isn't really any thinner than a passive cable. If I had to guess, I'd say it's an 8mm diameter cable.

    It's 40 feet long. It'll carry 1080p just fine.

Pros: it is a good idea, I will contact Costumer service to try to solve this problem.

Cons: probably another couple week to get it done.

I was happy first since I finally got to connect my two kids rooms with the help of a hdmi switch box, so no more argument of who is goin to play with what console. only to find out the cable did not work out of the box. I try other cable and everything work, dish, xbox360, and xbox one.

Decent cables for the money, pay attention to the labels.

    Pros: Price, quality, looks.

Cons: They are only directional and can force you to have to pull your cables twice if not careful.

I purchased 2 of these to run in my attic to connect a tv to a bluray and cable box. I tested both prior to pulling the cables, both worked. Pulled them up, connected, and only 1 worked. After 30 minutes of messing with the one that didn't work, I yanked it out of the attic/walls, only for it to work once pulled down. These cables are DIRECTIONAL, not bi-directional, something I've never run into before. After coming back to this page, I saw where it's clearly written in blue that they are not bi-directional. Clearly my fault, however something I never took notice of when purchasing. Make sure you run them the correct direction when installing as they are labeled source and display and it makes a difference.

    Pros: Picture quality

    Cons: None

Works great for my application. I use it to connect my computer to my 55 inch TV across the room so I can view video files from my computer on my TV. Quality is great and don't have any complaints
