Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology, 30ft

Reliably connect your home theater equipment to greater distances than with passive cables using this Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable supports the following general features:

    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • CL2 in-wall fire safety rating
    • 28AWG copper conductors
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

TIP: It is a good idea to test cables and connections before installing them inside a wall. If there are any issues or problems, we can help you resolve them before you spend the time, effort, and expense of installing them inside the walls.

    Heavy cable

    Pros: Good price

Cons: A little heavier cable than I was hoping for.

Was a little dis-appointed in the thickness of this cable. So used to having thinner cables from Monoprice. I understand that it has to be thicker as they get longer, but was hoping that it would not be as thick as it was. I had a problem with this cable giving me just a blue screen. However Monoprice was very responsive in getting it replaced. Too early to comment on the replacement.

Pros: Length, Durability, Picture Quality. Sound Quality

    Cons: Directional

With the new 4K and 3-D, HDMI is the way to go. This cable allows me to hook up my computer and send the signa from my receiverl to my wife's TV in the room behind the entertainment center. YES, you must pay attention to the direction, however, that is the only thing that keeps this cable from rating a 5. It is also great for trips when using a laptop to watch a movie. You can put the laptop somewhere safe on the other side of the room and still have the length to wrap the cable next to the wall.

Pros: Works great, both directly connected to an HDMI port, as well as with all the adapters I've tried with it (e.g. DisplayPort and mini DisplayPort).

Cons: It is directional, so you should probably label it prominently so that users can tell which end is which - it comes from the factory with tags labeled "Display" and "Source" but they're a little flimsy and not obvious.

We've replaced all our old 15-25' VGA cables for connecting laptops to AV systems with these HDMI cables and I've had no problems - they work great and we've had no signal or compatibility issues.

    Functional Cable.

Pros: Being an active cable means it doesn't need conductors as thick as otherwise necessary. The device end plug is slightly bigger, but it means that the cable is quite flexible. 6 inch radius of curvature doesn't put too much strain on this cable.

Cons: The cable isn't really any thinner than a passive cable. If I had to guess, I'd say it's an 8mm diameter cable.

    It's 40 feet long. It'll carry 1080p just fine.
