Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI Cable with HDMI Micro Connector, 15ft Black

Connect your HDMI® equipped mobile device directly to your television using this Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI Cable with HDMI Micro Connector from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable features an HDMI Micro Connector (Type D) on the source end and a regular HDMI Connector (Type A) on the other end. It supports the following general features:

    • HDMI Micro Connector at source end
    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • 36AWG copper conductors
    • Full size HDMI connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 21.0mm wide
    • HDMI Micro connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 16.2mm wide
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

    Amazing little cable

    Pros: Small
    Works as it should

    Cons: Can't think of any.

So, they use some proprietary chipset to make this cable super small.
It is directional, so beware. It goes from Micro HDMI to Regular HDMI only.
I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and this bad-boy works awesomely and the 15' fits in my carry-on, inside the little pouch.
Definitely happy with its price and performance.

Pros: There was a very low special sale price. Shipping was included.
I ordered it. It arrived in a few days. It works.

Cons: It feels lightweight, but it works. Time will tell.

Review? Look at the pros and cons. I've only had it a few weeks. My kindle Fire HD (2012 model) is connected to the Samsung HDTV. We continue to watch the entire Star Trek Series (right now: Voyager 3rd season). Life is good.

Pros: Nothing obviously wrong with this cable Was what I was expecting.

Cons: It did not work for my application(Kindle Fire HD to HDTV).

I was mislead by a previous reviewer who connected a Kindle Fire to his TV with the 6Ft version. After much research, I really required a Micro-USB connector to HDMI, which
may not work for my Kindle version(3rd generation). It appears Amazon varies their output connections from year to year.

Pros: Impossibly thin, works great, lives up to all of the positive reviews

Cons: Wish these were available about 3 years ago.

I have 3/4" conduit running to my projector about 15 ft. away but the conduit isn't large enough to fish a standard hdmi cable through. I've been using a passive cat5 extender but wouldn't work at all without an hdmi booster and even then I would get sparkles. I was easily able to fish the micro hdmi cable through the conduit and used a micro-to-standard hdmi convertor to hook up to my AV processor. Picture is great at 1080p/60 Deep Color with no sparkles. I replaced 3 bulky hdmi cables, an hdmi booster, 2 cat5 hdmi baluns and cables with a single tiny redmere cable. My AV closet has never been cleaner.
