Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI Cable with HDMI Micro Connector, 10ft Black

Connect your HDMI® equipped mobile device directly to your television using this Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI Cable with HDMI Micro Connector from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable features an HDMI Micro Connector (Type D) on the source end and a regular HDMI Connector (Type A) on the other end. It supports the following general features:

    • HDMI Micro Connector at source end
    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • 36AWG copper conductors
    • Full size HDMI connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 21.0mm wide
    • HDMI Micro connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 16.2mm wide
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

Lightweight No pulling on the jack on the laptop.

Pros: Light as a feather, almost literally, Good Connection, Ample Length, Quality Connectors

    Cons: None

I opted to try this after failed attempt at using a small port saver adapter ( 7703 ) that coverts the micro HMDI to regular HDMI straight out of the micro HDMI jack on the side of my laptop and because of the weight of the normal HDMI cable, it pulled and came disconnected and I was also worried that it not making a good connection because of the weight of the wire pulling on the jack, that it would damage the port, but with this cable, I plug it in with a HDMI to HDMI coupler ( 2781 ) and that way the weight of the normal HDMI cable is connected and sitting on the floor while 10 feet gives ample length to run from the floor into my lap into the laptop and the cable is so light and thin, that there is NO pulling on the micro HDMI port on the side of my laptop. This way of connecting is the "WINNER" for those who have had trouble with other ways of connecting and the weight of the HDMI cable pulling it out of the port or damaging the port.

    Doesn't work

    Pros: Thin

Cons: Doesn't seem to carry an HD signal

Tried using this cable to connect an ASUS Zenbook to an HDTV. There was a brief flicker on the TV and then "No Signal". This cable, although rated "high speed" doesn't seem to be able to do 1080p.

    Hello Phillip,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 9924. This cable should be working at 1080p. If I may ask, which model Zenbook do you have? Did you try lower resolutions to see if it would work at all? If so, what was the highest resolution that worked? Were you able to test the setup with any other displays just to further isolate the issue? Also, has this been an issue since you first received the cable?

Please let me know if the problems still occur. If they do, I can assist you in obtaining a replacement to see if it will work better or a return RMA. We do have a lifetime warranty on cables and obtaining a replacement is of no additional cost. If you want to continue with an RMA, please provide your results and let me know if you wanted to return it or obtain a replacement. Thank you!

This happened out of the box with this cable. I am unable to try different resolutions because after the initial flickering, both displays I have tried it on say "No signal" and the laptop shows no external monitor connected.

This is an ASUS Zenbook UX301LA series (UX301LA-DH51T).

I originally purchased Monoprice PID 7557 months ago but when I finally got around to using it, I noticed it didn't carry an HDMI signal to any monitor I tried either. I noticed it's a "standard speed" cable so I assumed I needed a high speed. Was very disappointed this cable didn't work either.

The displays I am trying are:
    Vizio E600i-B3
    LG 47LH85
    ASUS VW266H

    Hi Phillip,

Great, thank you for the response and extra information! Unfortunately, it appears as though you may have received a defective cable. I will submit a complaint regarding this to our product team so they can look into the matter further. Just to verify, would you like to try a replacement to see if it will work any better for your setup? If so, please let me know and I can get that started right away. Thank you in advance!

    Great camera cable

Pros: Thin, easily coiled, light. Great for using with a camera as it packs into a case easily. Get the 10 foot one so that you can move far enough away from the TV so that you can see the screen properly.

Cons: I don't know if this is a common problem but, due the position of the HDMI jacks on my television, when there is more than one cable in place it is difficult to get a purchase on the plug without pulling on the cable itself, which will of course, eventually damage it. A small flap, or tab, or loop attached to the plug head would solve this problem.

Very good product. Get the 10 foot one (or longer) so that you can move far enough away from the TV to see the screen properly.
