Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology, 6ft White

Reliably connect your home theater equipment to greater distances than with passive cables using this Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable supports the following general features:

  • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
  • 10.2Gbps data throughput
  • Connector heads measure only 0.6" x 0.3" (17 x 7 mm)
  • Tooled polycarbonate connector heads with Zinc alloy shielding
  • 36AWG copper conductors
  • Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) jacket for superior durability
  • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

  • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
  • 4K resolution at 24Hz
  • 3D video
  • HDMI Ethernet Channel
  • Audio Return Channel
  • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
  • x.v.Color™
  • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

Great cables, great price

Pros: Thin cable, flexible, enhances picture quality

Cons: None

I purchased these cables based on the fact of how thin they were. I wanted a small gauge cable and that is what I got. I have installed them directly from the sources to the TV (no AV Receiver/Home Theater equipment) and they work flawlessly. I have even noticed that picture quality is sharper, more vibrant, when using these cables. Great product. Also, make sure the connectors are fully seated when installing them. They are a little snug to insert into your source/TV, but that makes them solid in my book.

Pros: Ultra Thin
3 Different Colors

I have bought at least 5 of these and I am looking to buy 2 more. They are premium cables at a reasonable price. They are Ultra thin so they do not get in the way. There are multiple colors so you can buy different colors for different components if you want. They are labeled so you can set them up correctly. I would definitely recommend these and they produce an Awesome Picture!

The best of the best

Pros: I was an early adopter of "redMere" technology. I was not able to get my overhead panasonic projector (30 feet) to work with HDMI cables. Okay out to 10 feet. Called the guy that invented the technology. He gave me the answer as to why to use his. They were very expensive at that time but I needed 40 feet. They worked perfect and solved all my problems with3D, etc at a 40 foot distance. Now they are "dirt"cheap and should be used for all HDMI setups. You will never have another problem with your high end units, Just remember they are "one Way" source to "tv, to Projector etc. Source is clearly marked... DO not get it backwards.. No harm done but you will get a black screen if reversed .

Cons: absolutely none...

Hope the inventor gets millions in license fees. He has done the ( Garage to theater) community a great service.

Worth the extra money

Pros: Slim cable, easy to route

Cons: None really, more expensive I guess

Normally I have always bought the lower-cost generic HDMI cables. When I had one of those cables go bad I decided to give this cable with the RedMere tech a chance. I have the cable routed through a fairly small hole in my cabinet so the thinner, more flexible cable was a huge benefit. In the end it is a great cable with good construction and I plan to replace my other HDMI cables with the same type when their time is up.
