Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology, 15ft

Reliably connect your home theater equipment to greater distances than with passive cables using this Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable supports the following general features:

  • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
  • 10.2Gbps data throughput
  • CL2 in-wall fire safety rating
  • 28AWG copper conductors
  • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

  • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
  • 4K resolution at 24Hz
  • 3D video
  • HDMI Ethernet Channel
  • Audio Return Channel
  • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
  • x.v.Color™
  • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

TIP: It is a good idea to test cables and connections before installing them inside a wall. If there are any issues or problems, we can help you resolve them before you spend the time, effort, and expense of installing them inside the walls.

XBox One Issues

Pros: TBD

Cons: this cable does not seem to work with the Xbox One.

As noted by another reviewer, which I missed when I purchased as a replacement for another cable that failed, this cable does not seem to work with the Xbox One. (Yes the directions are correct, and I checked the connections several times) As noted, the connector does not insert all of the way into the Xbox One. I am using the HDMI that came with the Xbox and it is noticeably longer (from the edge of the plastic casing). Is this something you could test Monoprice? maybe to avoid others having the similar issue with the Xbox One?
I have no other use for the cable at the moment.

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear the cable is giving you issues with your Xbox One. I do understand the cable was purchased to be used with the Xbox One. Would you mind testing the cable with a different source device just for testing purposes to see if the cable is functioning at all?

Great Cable

Pros: Light weight, good quality

Cons: Make sure it's installed properly

This cable performs beautifully. It's very flexible. The only thing is make sure you install it correctly as it only works one way. If you reverse the input and output you'll have an issue. It's very clearly marked however on the cable. I would buy this again.

Pros: Thin cable takes minimal space in trays & conduits

Cons: None

I'm using the 15' version of this cable to push 1280x800 (basically 720p) to a 60" flatscreen. The video quality appears to be flawless. I could probably get away with a standard cable for this short run, but I prefer to use an active cable for good measureespecially at this price point.

Pros: Quality, size, price

Trying to buy a cable this length at any electronics store would cost you around $50, at a dollar per foot you absolutely cannot beat the price and for easily the highest quality hdmi cable ive ever used

Xbox One Warning!

Pros: Cables are nice and thin

Cons: Connector doesnt seem to fit into the Xbox One HDMI slot all the way

The cable acted like it plugged into my Xbox One, but the TV would not pick it up. Tried with different cable (I purchased 3) and same thing. Tried again with old HDMI cable and worked no problem. Had to use an adapter that came with Chromecast for this cable to work
