Wow this thing is stiff

Pros: Supports Audio
Extremely well shielded
It's a high end HDMI at a very good price

Cons: VERY stiff, not too flexible.

For the record, 1ft (12in) is the length from rubber/plastic shell of the one connector to the other. The metal connectors are 1/2" long, so the entire length of the cable is 13in long. I noticed another reviewer stated something a bit different in his review and just wanted to clarify.

I read the reviews before purchasing this, but didn't fully understand how stiff this thing was. I wish I would have gone with a less shielded cable because the level of flexibility is a bit questionable. Not a big deal if you're keeping the cable straight, or even a 90 degree curve. But I was essentially doing a 180, and the stiffness of the cable made me uncomfortable in regards to bending it.

I'll likely throw this in my box of other miscellaneous wires/cables as opposed to returning this. The price point isn't worth the trouble. In terms of quality, it was probably the best my equipment could push out. And the thickness of the cable gave you a clear sense that it could take some abuse and heat with very little problem.

-2 points for the stiffness. That aside, great cable, just plan and consider your cable route before committing to this specific cable.

Pros: Well shielded, well constructed.

Cons: Ridiculously stiff. Molded ends account for more than 3 inches of the total length.

I purchased these for connections between my Blu-ray and receiver and Apple TV and receiver. Even though there's only 4 inches of vertical distance between the connections on these components, the cable is too stiff to effectively make the connection, especially considering that the inflexible cable ends account for 1-1/2 inches of length on each end, making the effective length of the cables less than 9 inches.

Do what they are supposed to do but are stiff

Pros: Excellent bandwidth

Cons: Cable is quite stiff. If you are trying to connect to components that are very close and need to make a faily tight loop to make the connection, you may need to get the 3ft version.

Well constructed but won't make a real tight loop due to stiffness. Consider the 3 foot version.
