6ft 28AWG DisplayPort to DVI Cable - White

Use this cable for connecting your DVI equiped HDTV or monitor to the DisplayPort connector on your computer without the hassle of using a separate adapter.  This reliable, high performance cable has flexible 28AWG, tin plate conduits with pure copper cores and gold plated connectors for long life.
Note:  While DisplayPort connectors are capable of passing a DVI signal, DisplayPort and DVI signals are basically different and not compatible with each other.  In order for this cable to function properly, you must have a DisplayPort source device capable of producing and passing out a DVI signal through the DisplayPort jack.
Note* These cables are not recommended for eyefinity setups, as they are a passive cable adapter.

    Pros: Nice connectors, very flexable.

Cons: Other than I should have gotten one of them a bit longer none.

These cables do exactly what they say. No issues at all, good connectors on them.

It doesn't work, but I'm not sure if it's the cable's fault.

    Pros: Cheap, well-made

Cons: Doesn't work, but I don't know if it's the cable, or my hardware.

I'm hooking up a Lenovo Thinkvision monitor with a DisplayPort connector to a few-years-old nVidia 550Ti video card. I can't get it to work with the DisplayPort to DVI cable at all. I don't know if that's a failing of the cable, or my video card just can't handle the conversion. I'm currently connecting the PC and monitor with a VGA cable with a DVI adaptor.

    Hello Chris,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for any inconvenience. When using a Display Port to DVI cable or adapter, it would only work from a DisplayPort source to a DVI display. It would not work if connecting from a DVI source to a DisplayPort display. It would also be the same for connecting with HDMI.

If your computer is compatible, I would recommend an adapter that would allow you to connect from the USB port on your computer to DisplayPort.

PID 12630 would be that adapter: http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011413&p_id=12630&seq=1&format=2

It would work best with USB 3.0 but it will still work with USB 2.0 ports, it would just not be able to receive the 4K resolution. As for the 6015 cable, if you would like I can set up an RMA for a refund. Just let me know and I can set that up.

Pros: Exactly what I needed at a fair price. If it last ten years I could not find a better deal

Cons: Shipping cost suck. Should be able to get a way smaller box or even an padded envelope. came in an unproportional sized box with a lot of wasted space. Save me money on that and there would be no cons.

    Does not support 1080

    Pros: Price

Cons: Resolution can be set to 1600x900 max with these cables

I bought these as many new ultrabook docking stations only have display port for a digital output and I have existing monitors that have VGA and DVI connections. Using these cables for a dual monitor setup forces me to set the resolution to 1600x900 so that the VGA connected monitor matches the DVI to DP connected monitor. Very disappointing.

    Hello David,

Thank you for your response, have you updated your videocard drivers on your ultrabook yet to see if it'll work on a higher resolution? Please let me know, thank you!

I don't think it is the driver as I can choose 1080 on the VGA connected monitor. I just lower that one to 1600x900 so it matches the other monitor. Also, if I connect the same ultrabook to a monitor with a DP input using a straight DP cable, it goes to 1080 resolution.
