6inch RCA Female to 2-RCA Male Digital Coaxial Splitter Adapter

This Digital Coax Cable is made from premium quality RG-6/U with double copper braid shielding to prevent signal degradation caused by EMI and RFI interference. This cable is ideal for conducting S/PDIF digital audio signals and other high-bandwidth content, but it can also be used for composite video and other line level RCA signals.

This splitter features a single RCA female jack on one end and a pair of RCA male plugs on the other end. The purpose of this is adapter to split a single RCA output to send to two RCA inputs.

Note that this should be used only as a splitter. Combining audio signals could result in damage to your audio equipment. The proper way to combine audio signals is through an audio mixer.

  • Gold plated RCA male connectors
  • Rubber-covered, molded connector housings
  • 97% pure oxygen-free copper conductor
  • Double shielded with copper braiding
  • 22 pF per foot capacitance
  • 75 ohm impedance

Pros: Product looks solid and attractive.

Cons: Dead on arrival.

As experienced by other buyers, my unit was dead on arrival and unscrewing the cap case showed very poor assembly.

Flexible enough to work well in my application.

Pros: This, as with almost all other Monoprice cables and supplies I have purchased, proved to be well made and of high quality. The splitter has been described well by others. The split cords are short and stiff, but they did flex well enough (one bent to 90º while the other bent nearly into a 'U') to make the connections I needed to make in a fairly restricted area.

Cons: Would probably be improved with a couple more inches of cord length to increase it's use in more situations

The good & the bad

Pros: Outstanding parts

Cons: Workmanship

I ordered 3 of these splitters. I use multiple powered subwoofers and prefer using the stereo hookup vs the single input. I replaced two of the older, cheap splitters (which were working fine) with these new splitters. The first sub. did not work at all and then it would cut in and out with movement of the connections. Same/similar problem with the other sub. and i thought the sub. went bad. I then put the old splitters back and all was well again. I didn't even remove the 3rd splitter from the package. I then contacted Monoprice and they immediately took care of this problem. Outstanding service! As a follow up: The problem with these splitters is inconsistent/sloppy workmanship. The parts appear to be the best but upon unscrewing the caps reveal very poor soldering, and some strands of the cable come in contact with the center conductor shorting it out. There was a big difference comparing each splitter with the other. I would hope there are very few of these bad splitters existing. Probably depends on the worker who put it together. Anyway, Monoprice stands by their products and this one incident would not stop me from purchasing again.

Pros: Easy to use. Nice, heavy cord. Works with no problem.

Cons: As others have stated, it is stiff, so be careful if you need to use it in a tight space. Works for my application, though.

Used this to connect my monoprice subwoofer pid 10810 to my amp. Nice tight fit. Works great.

Pros: High quality, easy to use, nice look, works very well.

Cons: A little longer than I had wanted, somewhat rigid.

This definitely fit the bill quite well when I needed to connect subwoofers to my A/V Receiver, using the matching coaxial cable.
