Pros: Extensive inventory. Superior service. Unbeatable pricing.

    Cons: None.

I love doing business with these guys. Everything I have bought from them is exactly as described, of superb quality, and at a very reasonable price. I will NEVER again buy from my local electronics outlets, whose prices are triple or quadruple ... or more ... then those at Monoprice.

Pros: Superior quality cable. Way thicker and stronger than most sub woofer cables especially for this price.

    Cons: none

First I purchased a RCA cable from Microcenter for $17.00 because I wanted to have my subwoofer connected as soon as it arrived. The cable from Microcenter looked decent, but I thought that it was over priced, I then ordered the cable from Monoprice and returned the cable to Microcenter. The Monoprice cable was twice as thick and looked way stronger for one third the price that I paid at Microcenter.

    Boom Boom Subwoofer

Pros: Flexible and nice plug although it unscrews the cover if you were to hold the plug if you were to plug or unplug the connecter. But how many times will you plug and unplug realistically. Once it is setup you won't be touching your SUB unless something goes wrong or you want to move your SUB location.
-12 Ft is more than enough for most installations unless your setup is in a very big room.

I def. recommend upgrade your subwoofer cable from what the manufacturer gives you in the box. I got Harman Kardon AVR and speaker system and it came with a flimsy RCA type subwoofer cable to hook up to LFE port on the SUB. Once I replaced the Mono version of SUBwoofer cable I could hear the big difference in the Bass. "Boombastic" LOL.... It sounded much cleaner and deeper. Definite improvement on the LFE signals. Next project would be to upgrade Monoprice Speaker wires 14 Gauge.

    Eliminate Sub-woofer Hum

Pros: Great quality and extra shielding eliminates any electrical interference

Cons: Black is the only color option.

I have multiple powered sub-woofers in my home theater setup. I use low level RCA inputs in all of them to receive the signal fed from my receiver. I was using a variety of very thin and inexpensive RCA cables and splitters for my cable runs that ranged from 3 feet to 35 feet to reach around the listening room to each of the subs. I was experiencing a constant low frequency hum that was emitting from all of the subs when the system was powered on. I feared that I may have a difficult-to-resolve ground fault issue causing the hum. Before tacking the ground fault issue I decided to first try upgrading all of my RCA cable runs so I ordered these high quality cables in 3 foot, 10 foot, 15 foot and 35 foot lengths along with Monoprice RCA splitters (PID 7187). I am thrilled that installing these new high quality cables and splitters has COMPLETELY eliminated the hum noise in my setup. If you are setting up a sub-woofer system for the first time or if you have a similar hum issue in your existing setup then I highly recommend that you get these high quality cables from Monoprice. The quality can't be beat and the price is reasonable.
