3ft Coiled 3.5mm Male To 3.5mm Male Stereo Audio Cable - White

The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable has a gold plated male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end and features ultra-slim connector heads.

The cable is coiled, with a minimal length of about 10" and a maximum length about 3 feet. The cable is ideal for connecting a stereo audio output, such as an mp3 player or phone, to a stereo audio input, such as the auxiliary input on a car stereo system.

    Just the thing
The tight coil on the cable made it a fine way to plug my mobile phone into the aux input for the car stereo - No floppy coil tangling up on the stick shift.

    Not really 3ft
I bought this cable to connect my ipod in the car from the stereo to the open pocket above and didn't want a bunch of cable to deal with. This worked perfectly for me. The actual compressed length of this cable is only 9in, so maybe it was 3ft before it was coiled, but don't think you'll get that out of it. (The coil is strong enough that if you connected a lightweight device like an iPod to it and tried to put it on a desk even 18" away, the coil will pull the iPod across the desk until the coil is compressed)

PROS: Thin profile plugs fit my iphone and iPod even with the case on, compact size

CONS: not really 3ft, but as I say below, it actually worked to my benefit.

If you are looking for short, you'ved come to the right item...
This cable is short. Repeat: This cable is short.
If you need a cable longer than 6", you need a different cable.

I like modern thin mobile phones and media players, but I don't like the trend of requiring smaller and less robust cable connections to these devices. The monoprice "premium" 3.5mm TRS cables with molded ends are too large to fully insert into most modern devices if they are install in a protective (or battery added) case. It is getting more difficult to locate replacement TRS connectors to repair cables that the ends fail.

Thank goodness for affordable replacement cables from monoprice!

This cable works fine for your iPod tethered to your car stereo (that you keep just above or below) in the dash or in your console bin.

PROS: Slim connectors work great for modern mobile devices that require them.
Takes some abuse pretty well (player falls and the tether keeps it from a hard fall)

CONS: Slim connectors aren't cemented to the cables, so if there is repeated abuse, the cable fails
