6ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Female 22AWG Extension Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
1.5ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
While most mobile devices use the 3.5mm stereo headphone output, most home audio systems with an amplifier or receiver use RCA jacks for audio inputs. This cable is ideal for connecting the output of your mp3 player or phone to your home audio system.
The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are about 41mm long x 15mm diameter.
Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. If you want something more suitable for portable applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm to RCA audio cables.

Overlooked connection gets an upgrade

Pros: Solid conductor, great thickness
Cons: Won't be as flexible
The 3.5mm - 1/8" jack is often overlooked when connecting devices together which is a shame, it deserves the same attention you give other items. This cable is super thick which did improve the sound in my setup, as well as reduce stray noise I was getting because this cableis shielded. Highly recommended!

Pros: Heavy gauge wire.
Very solid construction.
High quality connectors.
Cons: The only negative I see is the connectors are oversized to accommodate the large wire gauge. If you have tight clearance on the 3.5mm end it might be a problem. The extra size and weight might be an issue for portable use. For my application it couldn't be better.
Impressive cable. Heavy gauge, really solid construction, excellent connectors. Might be overkill for portable use, but I'm connecting two desktop devices and it's perfect. Contrary to another review the RCA connectors fit perfectly on my device, snug but not too tight. Gold plating a big plus.
Good value for money but not quite right

Pros: Nicely constructed...beefy cable
connectors of good quality
great value for money
Cons: the male 3.5mm connector is too bulky after the tip to allow insertion in phone cases
a bit bulky/inflexible but not a huge deal
I use this cable to connect to my truck's custom stereo system and allow input of my iPhone 5s signal. It's a good quality cable from what I can see and hear, but the male end of the 3.5mm gets too bulky/fat right after the gold plated end and does not allow insertion into my phone's jack without removing the phone's cover. This has been common for so many years, you would think manufacturers would figure that out by now.
Great value for money otherwise. Just think about your application before you by given the shape of the 3.5mm connector.

Cons: Gigantic Plug Connectors Don't Fit In Tight Spaces
For some reason the plastic surround on the connector end on the 3.5mm jack is HUGE. I don't know if Monoprice thinks that this will make people think it's "premium" but in practice what it means is that this bulky thing doesn't fit in tight spaces common with electronic connections. The giant cylinder of plastic serves no practical use whatsoever and simply makes it a worthless item for many applications. I was going to return this item, but return shipping would cost as much as the item itself so now I'm stuck with a "premium" piece of junk.

Pros: Super cable.
What a cable to connect an MP3 player to an amp with! I see no issues other than length not allowing the player to move around easily. This isn't a fault, it is simply what happens with a short cable. Great sound, great connectors.
