10ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Female 22AWG Extension Cable (Gold Plated) - Black

The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on one end and a female 3.5mm stereo jack on the other end, each with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.

The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.

Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. If you want something more suitable for portable applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.

High quality cable

Pros: High quality. durable

Cons: Heavy.

Another great quality product. My one concern however is the weight of the cable. we are using it to provide extension for singers using in-ear monitors. The chord is pretty heavy causing the buds to slip out of ear. We had to find a way to pin-up the chord.

Audio quality is poor

This is a very heavy duty feeling cable. when plugging into my computer, i found that i had to turn my volume up significantly to hear the audio. I also am noticing a constant echo that was definitely not there before i plugged this cable in. I wouldn't recommend this.

Thank you for your review on PID 5588. My apologies for the audio quality issues experienced with this cable. If I may ask, can we test the cable with other devices such as between an MP3 player, phone, or tablet and a pair of headphones and/or earphones? Should the issues persist, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement. We cover our cables with a lifetime warranty and it would be of no additional cost to you to obtain the replacement. Truly sorry again for the trouble and I hope this helps!

Very well constructed but thick ends

Pros: Not going to get ripped when stretched.

Cons: Thick ends

Thick ends prevents me from using them side by side on my audio outputs on my computer. Also very heavy so might pull on ports after a while.

Audio Cutting Out / Possible Bad Female End

Pros: Heavy Duty Cable
Appears to be thick high quality.
Works but only just

Cons: Loses signal
Appears to drop a channel just from subtle movement of my head.
May be too thick for some input jacks.

The cable looks nice and appears to be a very sturdy high end cable but I seem to be having the problem most are having with the 6 Ft version of this cable which is a channel of audio dropping out from what seems to be the female end.
I have tried 3 different sets of headphones and all have the same problem with audio dropping out.
It appears to be a problem with the male end of the headphones not reaching to where they're supposed to because if you push really hard on the male end of your headphones the signal will come back usually.
Overall very annoying because I have to keep my head in an almost stationary position or I have to mess with the cables I hope Monoprice has or will improve on these cables I had mine for quite a while but it's had this problem from the start.
