20ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black

The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.

The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.

Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.

Seems to work well, but a bit unwieldy at this length

Pros: Thick cable to "go the distance".

Cons: A bit unwieldy if used in mobile / pro audio applications.
Connector seems a bit loose not as positive clicking into headphone or 1/8" jack.
Might put stress on 1/8" jacks given weight of longer versions of this cable.

Jury still out. Connection is a bit loose fitting.

Pros: Cable appears to be very high quality.

Cons: Though it has 3.5 mm stereo plugs, the casing is so large that the plugs do not fit in some devices, e.g., my headphones. It is useless for me.

    Pros: Well made. Sturdy.
No interference from cables running along side.
    Just what I needed.

Cons: They didn't come to install it. (Kidding)

The people at Monoprice always give good advice and service.

would be better in a 1/4 version

Pros: Thick, quality cable, good transmission fidelity.

Cons: !) female end does not keep solid contact with head phones and looses audio as a result.
    2) Would be more logical to have 1/4" (6.3mm) ends given its size.

I bought this item knowing it was a very heavy duty cable so as to run a line from my stereo to my couch for headphone listening (I live in an apartment and if I want to rock out its got to be on headphones). Audiophile extension cables are a rip off and essentially the same thing (heavy duty cable). I use a pair of Grado SR325i and a pair of Superlux Hd 681's. I like the thickness of the cable and I cannot appreciate any signal loss over the 20 foot cable. However, the 3.5 mm end of any headphone or headphone adapter seems to have a tenuous contact in the female end of the cable and causes the music to cut out when bumped. I'm not sure if this is a defective cable or if this is a design issue. Furthermore, as this is a heavy duty cable for home use I would think it would be better served with a 6.3 mm jack as receivers, headphone amps and high end headphones all use 6.3mm jacks and thus have to be adapted. Good design concept but needs better execution.

    Pros: Long durable cord

    Cons: Very heavy

The cord worked well for about 2 weeks and I made sure I looked after it. After 2 weeks though it just made static when I plugged it in. I tried taping the cord in and pushing both ends in but it still didn't work. I think I may just strip each end and try putting on different 3.5 male ends on.

What is involved in a RMA?

I live in New Zealand so the cost of shipping the product back is not worth the hassle.

    Thanks
