All video through this cable had herringboning (fine moving diagonial lines and/or dancing dots), across multiple devices. I've seen thiis behavior before occasionally even on very short S-Video cables, and am not sure what causes it disagreement over ground reference? Poor shielding? Monoprice's 2415 (same length cable, but without the additional audio RCA cables) did not have the herringboning and was crystal clear in exactly those circumstances that this cable was fuzzy. Note that the bad behavior occurred whether or not 0, 1, or both of the RCA cables were also connected at either or both ends, so I doubt it's grounding per se. Fuzziness occurred whether the cable was still coiled up and connecting two adjacent devices or was strung across the room.
