    Great cable!

    Pros: Quality shielded RG-58/U cable
Molded boots that fit nice and tightly
    Snug, proper-fitting BNC connectors
    Good price

    Cons: None

This is a very good cable at a very good price. I used it to replace a junky cable that was supplied with my amateur radio panadapter. It feeds the IF output from the radio to the panadapter which displays the signals being received. As such, good shielding and quality connectors are a must to prevent ingress of spurious signals which cause the display of false images on the panadapter.

As soon as I installed this cable, the spurious signals no longer appeared on my panadapter. What a difference! I should have purchased this cable long ago. I heartily recommend this cable from Monoprice.

Used them on my CCTV Security System to connect a lightning surge protector. They worked perfect.

    Good for word-clock cables!

Pros: 75-ohm compatible for word-clock on any decent audio interface. Good sturdy anti-stress connectors and boots.

Cons: None that I can think of.

I ordered a few of these to use for word-clock connections between a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 and a Focusrite OctoPre MkII Dynamic. They work great! My only 'issue' is that I really needed a shorter cable. But some cable wraps fixed that in my 4U rack.

    Excellent short BNC cable

Pros: Excellent for video routers and short antenna runs. Very Inexpensive. Well made, and never fail if they aren't abused.

Cons: None for this length (3 foot).

I've lost count of how many of these cables I have purchased for our video routers. Maybe 50. And they never fail. I do NOT run a resale store, we are using these in house for our production equipment.

Yes, it might seem risky in a live performance situation but I have been testing Monoprice cables for several years now and they almost never fail me. If you make your own cables, you know that good quality cable is not expensive but the connectors are. So although I still make my own longer cables (anything over 12 feet, because they cables don't work well for HD-SDI longer than 12 feet), but I can't even buy a decent BNC connector for under $1.50, nevermind a fully manufactured cable with 2 BNC ends on it. It costs around 13 times the price for 1 meter Canare BNC cable, and as far as I can tell, they work the same at this length.

We are using these with Blackmagic VideoHub routers, converters, and also Panasonic video switching equipment. I don't do a lot of reviews, but this is one of the best values I've found on Monoprice. I am pretty sure these cables were originally meant for SD security camera stuff, which is why they have minimal shielding and don't work in longer lengths for HD video, but for shorter lengths, they are perfect. I hope they come out with a better quality RG6 version of these cables one day. They will pretty much put all the other ripoff BNC cable companies ($300 for a 200 foot coax cable? come on) out of business if they are high quality.
