    3G SDI To HDMI Converter

Pros: Inexpensive, Purchased 4 of them and they all worked out of the box. Just plug and play. It does play nicely with a Blackmagic analog to SDI converter i'm using, to convert an S-Video output of a camera to SDI.

    Cons: none yet

Nice unit and it works. Since i'm not using the SDI loop thru I cannot say anything about the latency(delay) through it. There does seem to be some delay in the translation from SDI to HDMI but was minimal, the worst delay depends on the TV/Monitor and ranged from not able to see any to a good 1/2 to 3/4 second.

Stable and reliable compliment to 11749

Pros: Stable, reliable, worked on first attempt

    Cons: None

I have 11 of these in my system. They are hooked up to 2 HDMI to SDI (item 11749) when a switch and two 1X8 SDI splitter (10323). The entire system worked on the first attempt. No fussing around

    3G SDI to HDMI Converter

Pros: Solid built, inexpensive, does what it says it should. Cheap enough you can buy a back up if one fails. It comes with mounting brackets and has SDI loop through

Cons: SDI Loop through DOES add delay to the signal so if you are using it to feed several devices that will be seen together this WILL be noticeable. Wall-wart power (everything has them but I still hate them)

Great product for low dollars (although it seems to have gone up since i bought ours).

Pros: Inexpensive, SDI loop through, sturdy metal build, mounting brackets sometimes handy depending on the use.

Cons: Haven't found any. I trust these. The only ones you'll find cheaper are less reliable and made of plastic.

We're a broadcast studio that pushes live to our website and mobile apps, and live screenage around our building a 42' LED screen on a street corner outside. We probably have nearly 20 of these boxes now. I have a mixture of cheaper one from who knows who on Amazon and a few from AJA, Blackmagic ROSS, etc. I haven't had a single one of the Monoprice units fail. I have found the SDI loop through very handy.
