Component Video + Digital Coaxial and Digital Optical Audio to HDMI® Converter

This Component Video + S/PDIF audio to HDMI® converter combines your analog high def and/or progressive scan Y, Pb, Pr (Component) video signals with an S/PDIF Digital Coax or Digital Optical Toslink Audio from your source devices and outputs them in HDMI® format.  This allows you to connect your legacy Component Video sources to your newer HDMI® HDTV's and A/V receivers.  No need to replace the high end video player you bought only a few years ago just because it doesn't support HDMI®.  This Analog to Digital converter provides a perfect interim solution until you decide to move on to the next great high def format.
**Note - This device is a format converter, not a scaler.  It will not upscale a standard definition signal into high definition.  It will simply allow a component signal to be plugged into an HDMI® port in a situation where no Component inputs are available.

Just set it up and it works as advertised.

I setup a home theater in my living room and had everything wired up to my receiver/projector in HDMI. Well, I'm moving out but had to put my old system back in (as apart of the lease agreement) and needed this device to go from my component out receiver to the HDMI projector hanging from the ceiling. This thing works like a charm.

    PROS: Easy to setup up
    Works as advertised

CONS: Red LED is bright, but thats fine behind tinted black glass.

    Component to HDMI converter
Got this product VERY fast, linked it to my Denon AVR 1913 and Xbox 360 and worked instantly. Very handy when I want to swap my Xbox into my living room where I cannot reach the component cables on my tv - due to it being hung up.

PROS: Easy to set up, works great!

CONS: A little lag with the AVR, only 1st time however.

    Good Stuff!

PROS: The items both worked as described and solved the "upgrading" of my system problem. I am very satisfied with the resulting performance of my A/V system.

CONS: Each unit requires a separate transformer integrated plug that converts 120 Vac to 5 Vdc. It would be nice if there were a transformer supply that would parallel connect multiple 5 Vdc units using only one wall plug!

    Works good so far
Just installed yesterday but couldn't be easier to connect and worked straight away.

    PROS: Easy connection and setup.

    Does what its supposed to.

    CONS: none

Nice little device. Does just what it says and is simple to use. Just plug and play. I use it for PS3 through a Hauppauge HD PVR into a computer monitor that doesn't have component inputs. Works perfectly.

PROS: Easy to use. Works just as advertised.

    CONS: None.

    Perfect item!!!
Awesome product, awesome price, better yet - superfast special delivery without added cost.

PROS: This device made it possible for my Bose Lifestyle to work with a new Samsung LED HDMI TV. I had visited some high end retailers (names withheld) and they had no answers to help integrate the two, said "I was out of luck"...

CONS: None. The red light emitted from the unit is hidden by a enterainment center and actually looks cool if noticed. No negatives to date.

    Works as advertised
I've been using it for about a month to connect my old Xbox 360 to a monitor that doesn't support Component video (only HDMI & DVI). It works just fine for that task. The only gotcha is that I didn't realize that I needed to order a S/PDIF cable to hook up the xbox 360 audio I wrongly assumed that the default RCA stereo output from the Xbox would be supported by this converter. Not a big deal... just remember to order one of those too if you are using it for that purpose.

    Works great
This product was the perfect answer to support a 2nd zone with my A/V gear. The picture looks great and the audio syncs perfectly. Splitting or switching HDMI is a nightmare, and this device came to the rescue. I covered the bright LEDs with electrical tape as they are obnoxious.

    PROS: + Price
    + Quality

CONS: - Super bright undocumented status lights on both ends
    - Hard to position after connecting all cables and power supply
