    3X1 Mini HDMI® Switch

When all you need is a simple HDMI® switch to connect a couple of HDMI sources to a single HDMI display device, you don't need to spend a lot of money or hassle with a big device or power adapters. Just get this nifty 3x1 Mini HDMI Switch and save some money and some hassles!

Note that this switch has standard HDMI Connectors. The "mini" in the title and description refer to the size of the switch, not the type of connectors it uses.

There isn't much to say about this great little device, except that it does exactly what you'd expect! It has three HDMI inputs and a single HDMI output. It will automatically switch to whichever input is receiving power and has a button to switch between active inputs.

No external power is required, or even options. Just plug it into the HDMI® cables and start using it right away!

Note: For best results with High Speed 1080p signals, Monoprice recommends using minimum 24 AWG HDMI cables when connecting to a switch, such as this device.

I have a Roku box and a Blu Ray player hooked up to it. I have a Roku box and a Blu Ray player hooked up to it. The automatic switching works well. The picture is very good, no decrease in quality.

Pros: Works, no hassle. No effin' around.

Cons: None, really... some people might want all ports going out the same way, as it is, cables kind of stick out on all directions, but it's small enough that it doesn't really matter.... it's not like it's a shelf unit.

Detects the strongest signal and switches to that to sent to the output. There's a selector button, which I haven't had need to try.... although I suspect it will come in handy if you have multiple inputs ON at the same time. Nice to not have to supply it power, and it's smaller than the picture made me think. (But I should have known, since there's HDMI ports in the picture to give scale.

It's cute, simple, and works easy.

Pros: The video and audio performance of the device is working as expected.
Small switch and does not take up much space

    Cons: See review above

I have a Dish network receiver and an Apple TV connected to the switch. The switch does not automatically detect and switch when one of the device is turned on or off. I had to manually push the button to switch inputs.

    Didn't Work for me

    Pros: Inexpensive
    Small

Cons: It just didn't work consistently

My intention was to use this device to switch between a blu-ray player and a Windows 10 machine. Video worked without an issue. Audio did not. Audio worked for the blu-ray player but not the PC, at least not consistently. I'm certain the audio settings in Windows 10 were correct. On occasion I would get audio on the PC side but this was not persistent on a reboot. it eventually became too much trouble and I gave up.

    Did Not Work

I purchased this switch with the intention of being able to switch between a HTPC and a Blu-Ray player. It worked for video but not audio. No output on the pc side to the AVR I confirmed that everything was connected and that the Windows 10 settings were correct. I used 24AWG HDMI cables that I purchased from Monoprice when I purchased the switch. When the switch is removed audio output functions as expected. Disappointing.

    Hello,

Thank you for your review and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience you've encountered with tis item. Have you tried switching cables or trying sending different media to see if the audio will work? I would also try making sure everything is set to default at 2 channel audio to see if it'll work better. I hope this helps, thank you!
