    Chromatic Pedal Tuner

Easily tune your guitar or bass on stage with this Chromatic Pedal Tuner from Monoprice!

This tuner is designed to fit into your pedal rack and features a heavy-duty metal construction and activation button. It has two 1/4" TS outputs, Normal and Bypass. The Normal output is muted whenever the tuner is activated and the Bypass output ignores the tuner completely and outputs whatever comes in over the 1/4" TS Input jack.

It has a tuning range from A0 (27.5Hz) to C8 (4186Hz) and is accurate to within ± 1 cent. It can be calibrated to between 436 ~ 445Hz in 1Hz increments and supports the application of 1, 2, or 3 flats to the tuning. The pedal is powered with either a 9V alkaline or heavy-duty battery or with a 9VDC power adapter. Batteries and power adapters sold separately.

    Pros: Quick
    Easy to read
    convenient

    Cons: none so far.

I have used a number of tuners but this is my first pedal type. It's easy to read, responds quickly and best of all is incredibly convenient. Placed in line with my other pedals it is always there if I want to check my tuning.

    Pros: Large, bright display.

This tuner is solidly made and has an enormous display, easy to read on stage. It takes a moment to settle in on the first string, but then cruises through the other strings with no problems.

    Nice Cheap Tuner Pedal

Pros: Cheap sturdy pedal for home and semi-pro use.

Cons: Not accurate enough for guitar/bass intonation and setup.

This is the second Monoprice tuner pedal that I have purchased. I've had one for about a year that I have used on my guitar pedalboard and I got another for my bass guitar because I got tiered of swapping a single pedal out. So FYI, yes, they work just as well for bass.

As mentioned in some reviews, these are are probably the same exact pedal that you will pay twice the price for elsewhere, with only the branding being different.

They have a response time and accuracy as good as most other pedal tuners below $80 and if you want a faster response time and greater accuracy be prepared to pay four to five times as much (and more) as you'll pay for this pedal.

That said, these do the job nicely. They're built ruggedly enough for the gigging semipro musician and there is no reason IMO to pay more unless you simply must have the finest pedal tuner available.

I should mention that I also have a much more accurate (and expensive) strob tuner on my workbench for doing intonation and setups. If your doing that, this is not the best tool for the job.
