Get both convenience and accuracy in your graphics applications using this 19-inch Interactive Pen Display from Monoprice!
This monitor combines the functions of a drawing tablet and a monitor into a single package. The display features a 1440x900 maximum resolution and a 0.3mm dot pitch. It can display up to 16.7 million colors and has a viewing angle of 160° in the horizontal and 140° vertically.
The monitor includes a light weight, rechargeable pen-stylus, a pen holder, and replacement pen tips. The monitor features a pointing accuracy of ±3mm, when tilted to a 50° angle, 5080 lines per inch resolution, and 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. It uses a USB interface for charging and has a report rate of 200 RPS.
The monitor is compatible with Windows® 8.1 and Mac® OS X® Mavericks. It is also compatible with earlier operating systems. When used with a Mac, the monitor can be used as part of an extended desktop, multi-monitor setup. However, when used with Windows it must be used to mirror the other display(s) or be in a single-monitor setup.
While most desktop and laptop PCs have VGA or DVI connections, most Macs do not. You will need to get an adapter to convert the video output of your Mac to VGA or DVI for use with this monitor. Starting in about 2009, Apple switched from a Mini DVI connector on their MacBooks to a mini DisplayPort connector.
MONOPRICE will replace defective monitors with a new monitor if the RMA is issued within thirty (30) days of the original date of purchase, as shown on the original invoice. Monitors identified as defective after 30 days, but within the twelve (12) month warranty period, will be replaced with refurbished, reconditioned, or used monitors at MONOPRICE'S discretion. All returned products are the property of MONOPRICE and must be returned to MONOPRICE for a replacement to be issued.

Pros: Amazing Price
Great Pressure Sensitivity and Responsiveness
Supports Dual Monitor Setup (Extended and Duplicate)
Cons: Viewing angles aren't great (but can be improved by using a DVI cable)
Poor placement of cables
This is the ONLY alternative for anyone seeking pen display on a budget. For the price (half that of next cheapest competitor and almost 1/4 the price of a comparable Wacom Cintiq), it is amazing. Thanks to the latest drivers, I did not encounter any of the installation problems others have reported. Download and install the drivers from Monoprice BEFORE connecting anything. Once connected, take the time to calibrate the pen and pressure sensitivity in the driver utility and use the monitor menu to adjust the colors (I jacked the brightness almost all the way up). The pressure sensitivity works great I am able to get great thin to thick strokes without any jittery lines.
As mentioned again and again in reviews, the biggest drawback is the shallow viewing angle. It isn't great, but it is definitely better if you use a DVI cable instead of the VGA cable included. I lower my monitor pretty much parallel to the desk and look right down at it. It is fine. Another minor gripe is the location of the cablesthey all stick out of the bottom front, which makes little sense (they should be in the back or on the side). The USB connection is loose and seems like it could be disconnected accidentally if you aren't careful.
BOTTOM LINE: The $1750 savings (I bought mine on Cyber Monday) compared to a Cintiq more than made up for the viewing angle and cables. The important part is that you can create quality digital art with it that feels as natural and responsive as drawing on paper. I love it.

Pros: Great Price
Quality is competitive with the Wamcom
HDMI connector improves performance.
After 1 hour charge the Pen stays charged for 800 hours
Free overnight shipping! Wow amazing
Cons: View angle is not great but it seems ok for most people since people usually draw looking straight at the monitor.
The USB is a little loose and may loose contact if you move the monitor around a lot but its an easy recover and happens infrequent after you understand the issue.
HDMI cable is not included and improve the performance quite a bit although a quality cable is available from Monoprice at a very cheap price.
When using two monitors they must be in duplicate mode to work properly.
We were very satisfied with this purchase. This was a gift for my daughter who is a professional illustrator and artist. She is very happy with it and keeps thanking me repeatedly. :)

GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE!!
Pros: - Cheaper than a cintiq
-Great color, once you do a color calibration, which does help a lot with the viewing angles, and using the proper cable.
-Works great as a single monitor.
-Pen is smooth against glass
-Doesn't over heat like other tablets or monitors, stays really cool ( Gotta let it breathe)
-Works excellent once you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ( some people tend to take it out of the box, and just plug it in, please don't do that, follow the instructions in the box before you do anything. )
-Bought a DVI cable instead of using a VGA, colors look great.
Cons: - The pen calibration was a little tricking to use, but once you figure it out, it works great. I had to do it a few times, and do it fast so that all the points would show up.
-Looks bad with VGA cable, which is why the view angles would be bad for some, so invest in a DVI cable.
- Wish the resolution was higher, but it still looks great!
-Sometimes the tablet disconnects from the computer, so I have to unplug the usb and plug it back in
I honestly think that this is an excellent product for this price. I did my research for weeks before deciding to go with this one. It's a great investment for digital artist if you can't afford a Wacom. I plan on using this for a VERY long time with my work, and animations. It's a great size without being so big to make you feel overwhelmed, and not too small for you to wish it was bigger.
When it comes to the viewing angles, and other problems that I have read online, the main problem is that no one reads the instructions that come with it. Delete all wacom/tablet drivers and programs before installing the Monoprice driver update ( above) the is for this product, and follow all the directions that are in the box, I CAN"T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. If you do this, it works great.
It works wonderful with Paint Tool Sai, Toon Boom Harmony, MudBox, and Photoshop. This are a few of the programs I use everyday for my work, and it gave me no problems.
Worked great right out the box, so spoil yourself, and get this! Thanks you Monoprice for having this at such an awesome price!

Nice looking but get the real one
Pros: Low Price
Cons: Poor software
Difficult to install
Difficult to make it work like it should
Not able to calibrate screen
Save your money and buy the real one. Drivers are difficult to get to work. Several installs and re-installs and I still cannot calibrate the screen. Then it went on sale and now I feel foolish for making this purchase. Looks great but the functionality is barely acceptable. I have a starboard at school and the feel is so much better. It is inexpensive and if that is what you are after then buy it. If you want it to work well and install easy buy something else
by Monoprice Administrator Hello,
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 10707. If I may ask, what OS are you running? Have you tried installing the most up to date drivers located on the product page? The calibration should automatically set and not need any adjustments. For the best results, I recommend ensuring that the pen display is the only monitor connected (via VGA or DVI) to the computer and that the USB cable and other monitors are not plugged in until after the drivers have been fully installed and the computer has been restarted. Please let me know your results so we can look into the issue further. Thank you!

Get what you pay for....
Pros: -The price
Cons: -Poor driver functionality
-Viewing angle and color reproduction
Let me start off by saying I knew there were some complaints about this when I bought it. I specifically waited a few months to see some reviews on this as I was heavily anticipating buying one purely because of the price differential between this and a Cintiq/Surface pro/any other tablet with a screen. I knew it had issues with the viewing angle being quite narrow and the color reproduction being substandard based on the fact that it uses a TFT monitor. It wouldn't have been my choice for hardware if I had the option, but I can get over that.
I received it, unboxed, followed the installation instructions, and it worked, and I was content with it for a time. Now after less than a year of use, it's become nearly unbearable. The drivers it comes with are subpar AT BEST, the calibration system doesn't work at all and will actually make the tablet unusable, to use this with multiple monitors you have to unplug everything, restart your computer with this as the only monitor connected, put in all your settings, and then connect a second monitor as an extension. This is the only way I've gotten it to work on two different systems, so I know for a fact it's not just an issue with my PC. The cords also stick out the bottom in a very flimsy manner (especially the USB cord, it falls out if you so much as look at it wrong), so you have to be careful if you like to draw as I do, with the tablet upright in your lap. This is not a complete dealbreaker, just kind of irritating.
Recently the stylus it came with started giving me issues (so I thought), after putting down a stroke it would leave a dot right after you picked up the stylus. So I figured, easy solution, I'll replace the stylus. Ordered the "upgraded" one from this site, not the stock one it came with, received it, installed the battery (which is once again, designed terribly), and as soon as you touch the screen with the new stylus gives you nothing but jitter. So now it appears the digitizer has gone out, or the two styluses I've used are both bad. Either way, I'm severely disappointed with Monoprice right now, and I really hope whoever reads this goes with a different company. I wanted to like them so much, they're offering a Wacom alternative at a good price, and I've heard some rave reviews about the regular tablets without an integrated screen, but I guess the same quality didn't go into the 10707.
Overall, seems like a case of "too good to be true", and I'm going to probably have to bite the bullet and find a Surface pro II and shell out another $400 at least.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 10707. If I may ask, what OS are you running? Have you tried installing the updated drivers listed within the description on the product page? If not, we strongly recommend leaving the tablet unplugged while installing the new drivers and only plugging in the USB when installation is complete and the computer has been restarted. Thank you!
