    12 Outlet Power Surge Protector w/ 2 Built-In USB Charger Ports - 4230 Joules

Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector!

This model includes twelve protected power outlets, 4 of which are positioned for AC power adapters, and a 2-port 2.1A USB charger. The clear plastic tabs on the sides of the unit illuminate green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment and when a proper ground is detected.

When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced. When the grounded tab is not illuminated it indicates that there is a problem with the house wiring and that the ground is not properly connected to the power outlet.

The surge protector has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

A literal godsend from power strips all over the place

Pros: Lots of outlets, USB charging, four corners for separating of largest power modules.
    Super cool green lighting :)

Cons: White only color available. Light gray might be nice, or black.

This horizontally oriented 12-outlet strip is worth every penny and with Monoprice's discount and free shipping, even better. With some of these large power modules you may still get only 10-11 slots free, but the largest ones you can place on the four corners. The two USB charging ports also come in handy for charging stuff like your golf watch before you go out, etc. I had to laugh at some of the comments on the runway lights or concert hall. The green ghostbuster lighting for me, is cool!

Works well, but the bright beacon of green light haunts my dreams

    Pros: Lots o' outlets.

Cons: No cons, however If you start to dream of visiting the Emerald City every night, you may have to move this out of your bedroom.

This surge protector does what it's supposed to do, but the incredibly bright green glow makes it impossible to use bedside. You'd think there was a traffic light sitting next to my bed with the luminosity this thing puts out. It will work fine for you if:

    a) you need to light a lecture hall or small stadium for St. Patrick's Day
    b) your local airport needs runway lights
    c) you've been declared legally blind

    Perfect for my Application

Pros: 1. Surge protection for all outlets.
    2. Four outlets with extra spacing specifically for wall-warts
    3. 2 USB charger outlets to further reduce clutter

Cons: 1. Super bright indication for "Grounded" and "Protected" functionality. These could be indicated by two small, dim LEDs.

Prior to installing the 12-outlet surge protector, I had quite a rat's nest of power cords behind my TV stand. Since I only had one wall outlet, I had to incorporate a several extensions and they were not efficiently used because the "wall wart" power supplies covered several outlets. All this went away when the Monoprice surge suppressor was incorporated.

Just What I Was Looking For.

Pros: USB charge ports and the flat design.

    Cons: None.

I was looking for a new surge protector with lots of outlets and lots of protection. The two USB charge ports are a nice bonus. All the outlets and USB ports work.

Pros: Great design, well spaced outlets

Cons: Not sure if the USB ports are pushing out as much power as they could be.

I love the flat design of this thing. I'm using it for my home studio, so i'M really thankful for the Ground Indicator. It turned out my bed room did not have grounded outlets, but my (unused) living room does, so I moved everything there. Haven't had any ground loop hum issues with my equipment. The green light doesn't bother me since I have it under my keyboard. I'm also using it for an on/off switch for my monitors (speakers), so I really never see the light it at all. The chord is a good length, well-made.
Now as far as the USB ports, I do have to plug, unplug, and replug the cord for my Samsung Galaxy S5 to get a full power draw (which is 1200 mA according to the Ampere App) When I plug the phone in the first time it hovers around 950mA, which is ok if I'm not doing much on the phone while it's charging. (EDIT: This COULD be an issue with my phone and not the USB ports themselves)
So, good product all around I'd say.
