    12 Outlet Power Surge Protector w/ 2 Built-In USB Charger Ports - 4230 Joules

Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector!

This model includes twelve protected power outlets, 4 of which are positioned for AC power adapters, and a 2-port 2.1A USB charger. The clear plastic tabs on the sides of the unit illuminate green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment and when a proper ground is detected.

When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced. When the grounded tab is not illuminated it indicates that there is a problem with the house wiring and that the ground is not properly connected to the power outlet.

The surge protector has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

    Power Plug Not Flat
It's a good surge protector. Price is great. When it comes time to improve it please put a swiveling flat power plug on it instead of one that protrudes out of the wall 4 inches. Thank you.

PROS: I like everything about it except that the power plug isn't flat. It has plenty of outlets and they are spaced out nicely for the occasional brick. The power cord is nice and long at 6 feet. You can mount it flat on a wall. It's switchable and the 4320 joules is plenty of protection. The USB chargers are a thoughtful addition. I just wish the plug was flat...with a swivel too.

CONS: As I said, the power plug should be flat with a swivel.

    Seems to work just fine
As other reviews have indicated, the 'Protection' light on this thing is very bright. Not a big deal in my office, where it's located, but that should factor into any decisions regarding this thing. It's also very large. Again, not a big deal for my uses... but if you have a smaller space in mind for this, you might be disappointed.

All that aside, however, the device functions perfectly and is adequate for my needs. Ample protection, low cost, and it doesn't feel overly cheap like some other brands I've used previously. Would purchase again if I needed another surge protector. Of course, the only way to know for sure is to put a surge through it and see what happens... but I'm, uh, not going to do that. =P

    PROS: Ample cordage

    Solid price

More than adequate protection for the purpose

    Ample room for plugs

    CONS: Bigger than expected

    Great design and great features.
I love the flat design of this thing. I'm using it for my home studio, so i'M really thankful for the Ground Indicator. It turned out my bed room did not have grounded outlets, but my (unused) living room does, so I moved everything there. Haven't had any ground loop hum issues with my equipment. The green light doesn't bother me since I have it under my keyboard. I'm also using it for an on/off switch for my monitors (speakers), so I really never see the light it at all. The chord is a good length, well-made.
Now as far as the USB ports, I do have to plug, unplug, and replug the cord for my Samsung Galaxy S5 to get a full power draw (which is 1200 mA according to the Ampere App) When I plug the phone in the first time it hovers around 950mA, which is ok if I'm not doing much on the phone while it's charging. (EDIT: This COULD be an issue with my phone and not the USB ports themselves)
So, good product all around I'd say.

PROS: Great design, well spaced outlets

CONS: Not sure if the USB ports are pushing out as much power as they could be.

    Good surge protector
Overall a great surge protector, and it powers some computer and audio equipment well. The lighting along the edge seems like a nice touch, although may be a little too bright. It works well, with lots of room on it and easy plug and unplug, but still has enough friction to hold plugs well.

PROS: Lots of room on this surge protector for AC adapters. The lighting along the edges of the unit is a neat touch.

CONS: The on/off switch feels a little flimsy, but it seems to function fine.

    Great power strip
Great power strip. I use it on my desktop, since it has easily-accessible built-in USB ports.

Only negative remark is that the green glow cannot be disabled (does not affect me, but might bother some people)

Each outlet has a safety slider cover, and there are 4 "wide space" outlets on the strip for power bricks.

The USB ports can charge my Apple products w/o issue (high current draw)

PROS: Lots of outlets. Easily-accessible built-in USB charging ports.

CONS: Doesn't affect me, but you can't seem to turn off the green glow on the strip. If this is used in a dark area (theater, etc) it might be an issue. Does not affect actual usage, but wanted people to know, in case it mattered in their situation.

Replaced multiple strips with this single unit. Very high-quality, beautiful presentation.

CONS: Farily bright green light that is constantly on.

    12 Outlet Power Surge Protector w/ 2 Built-In USB Charger Ports - 4230 Joules
The item was as described. It works very well with my equipment as I have a couple of rather large plugs that would normally take up 2 plugs. This frees me up to have 4 large plugs thus giving me more space under my desk as I do not need 2 strips just this one. Also love the USB plugs too.

PROS: Great product and well built.

    CONS: None
