Did not work with a 12-hole keystone wallplate

    Pros: Feels sturdy

Cons: May not fit all keystone wallplates

I tried to use this 12-hole keystone wallplate I bought from Amazon (after reading reviews that Monoprice's version will not fit Cat5e keystones side by side, I decided to go with the RiteAV wallplate)

It did not fit into the 2-gang, even without keystones.

I went with a rating of 8, since I don't know if you can expect a gang to work with every possible wallplate in the world.

    Hello Mihai,

I am truly sorry to hear that this bracket did not fit the wall plate. If I may ask, do you happen to have any other 2-gang plates that we can try this bracket with? Or, if possible, can we try placing the RiteAV wall plate on a different 2-gang box or bracket? Also, are you able to send me pictures of the fit issues so we can best investigate this issue? My apologies again for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your feedback.

If able to send the pictures, please email them to me at gabrielle.villa@monoprice.com

I also wanted to note that it is against our guidelines to provide direct links to competing products. In order to verify this review, we will need to take out the URL to Amazon. However, we can leave the RiteAV brand name as a reference for other reviewers. Please let me know if this would be acceptable. Thank you!

It's fine to not mention Amazon but keep the name of the wallplate.

The plate is already installed on a Carlon low-voltage 2-gang that I purchased from Lowe's: http://www.lowes.com/pd_130184-223-SC200RR___?productId=3136265&pl=1

It is a little bit wider, and the plate fitted perfectly in it.

I wish I could take pictures, but it's already mounted in the wall, with all the keystones in position. The plate's keystone sockets protrude in the back a little bit, and it's just enough to make the plate not fit over the gang. I wouldn't have been that concerned with that, but the cat5 keystones are exactly the width of the sockets, so when placed in position, the whole assembly is maybe half a millimeter too wide, and that's enough to put pressure on the plate and bend it.

Again, we're talking less than 1 millimeter, so very small tolerances.

    Thank you!

    Not impressed, but they work

Pros: Old-work style, easy to install.

    Cons: no template holes

Most old work boxes I've bought, whether low voltage or not have had at least holes in the four corners to mark for your cutout. This one did not, which left me wondering how to get the exact size correct.

Pros: Great quality, lower price that local hardware stores.

Exactly as ordered. Paired with a 2-Gang Low Voltage Cable Plate (Currently Product Number: 4001) and it all fit perfectly! Very easy installation and makes my wall look SO clean compared to just shoving cables through.
