Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones - Silver

With a stylish design and a premium fabric-covered cord, these Monoprice earphones will prompt complete strangers to ask you where you got them, but you won't hear a word they say as you rock on down the highway!

Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit.

The 48" cord is completely covered in fabric, which helps prevent breakages. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors.

The end result is a pair of earphones that are made for the rigors of daily use from the music fan on the go! Amazing sound clarity, hard-rocking bass, and durability. Who could ask for more?

What? You want Aerosmith to play at your birthday party? OK, you CAN ask for more!

Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

    Far Exceeded Expectations

    Pros: Sound Quality, price

Cons: Uncomfortable for long term listening

These were much better than expected for $7. I really just needed something cheap with sound, and these surprised me. I am a DJ so I have used high(er) end headphones of all different sorts, and while these aren't going to knock the socks off of an audiophile, they do have quality sound. The only downside was that they are a bit uncomfortable after an hour or two of wearing them, otherwise they were exactly what I was looking for: a cheap pair of headphones that I don't have to care about.

If I had bigger ears and had not heard better

    Pros: Inexpensive

    Cons: Highs

Let me start off by saying for 5 bucks these aren't bad at all, but if you were expecting an amazing bargain for great sound quality you may be disappointed. I purchased two pairs of the chrome colored plastic ones off of a glowing recommendation from a friend. Well I listened to them right off the bat and was disappointed, but i reserved my judgement for he had told me that I may need to burn them in when they arrived. So I ran about 10 hours of regular listening and another 10 hours of pink noise through them and well in the end they sounded about the same. Now if it were just the sound perhaps I would still use them, but the fit was the really menace here. The housing for the driver is very large and someone had the idea to put ridges on it (bad idea). After having them in for even 20 min the pain starts and you can't wait to take them out. On to the "isolation", I don't think anyone will be expecting much but if you were thinking these would block much sound out you will be disappointed there as well. In the end were they worth 5 dollars or the 7 that they normally cost? No, at least not for me. If you have very large ears and haven't listened around more then you'll probably love them. The fault of these buds was with the hype around them not the product itself. (besides the comfort of course, damn they are uncomfortable)

    great earbuds

Bought these for my windows phones. I record live stereo media for my home business. When listening to the windows phone live recordings (windows 1020 1520 etc.. records in stereo) through the earphone jack the volume and clarity on normal earbuds was low and not clear. With these there is about a 6-10 DB increase in volume and the transients are cleaner without losing the bass. I have three sets of these. Awesome price can't beat it for the sound quality.

    The earphones sound fine,
They have a tight fit that becomes uncomfortable in my ear after listening for longer than 90 min
I still use them frequently for shorter periods of time.

Ok sound, but the cable is useless

Pros: ok sound for the price

    Cons: the cable

The sound quality is about what you'd expect for this price and the noise cancelling is half decent.

The problem though is that the cable rubs on my sweater when I'm walking around it seems to build up a static charge which causes crackling in the ear buds
