Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones - Silver

With a stylish design and a premium fabric-covered cord, these Monoprice earphones will prompt complete strangers to ask you where you got them, but you won't hear a word they say as you rock on down the highway!

Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit.

The 48" cord is completely covered in fabric, which helps prevent breakages. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors.

The end result is a pair of earphones that are made for the rigors of daily use from the music fan on the go! Amazing sound clarity, hard-rocking bass, and durability. Who could ask for more?

What? You want Aerosmith to play at your birthday party? OK, you CAN ask for more!

Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

Pros: built quality, strong & flexible cable
    SOunds OK

Cons: sound is not as good as $100 value earphones

These are really not audiophile earphones, but they are the best I ever found at $2.99. Quality on par with other costing between $14-$16

    They're Great! (for the price)

Pros: Extremely affordable ($3 + shipping)
    They fit
    Nice highs/mids
    Comes with varying sized fittings

Cons: Angled connections at the earbuds
Earbuds cannot be worn backwards (left bud on right ear, right bud on left ear)
Adequate comfort. Not uncomfortable, but they're not something I'd wear for hours at a time.
Adequate lows get the job done, but leave a bit to be desired

I got three pairs of these earbuds on a whim and was not disappointed. They sound great for the price! I've had budget earbuds before and they've always sounded terrible, but this is a pair that I would not regret buying for three times the current price ($3). Highs and mids are wonderful, no complaints on that end. However, the lows do leave me wanting more. I'm listening with them right now and I can hear the bass, but I really wish the earbuds pushed the bass a bit harder.

These earbuds come with varying sized fittings for different ears. I didn't need to change the fittings, but your experience may vary. However, regardless of the fittings, comfort is a slight issue. The shape of the earbuds makes it so you have to wear them in a particular fashion and further, you can't put the wrong earbud in the wrong ear, it just won't fit. This is more of an annoyance than a problem, since I don't care if I have the wrong channel coming to the wrong ear, but I'm sure other people may appreciate this feature.

I've only had these earbuds for a little while, so I don't know how long they will last, but I am concerned about one thing that may be a weakness: the angled connectors. Normally I'm not uncomfortable with holding the earbuds by the cord and letting them hang downward, but the angled connectors make me worry that I might hurt their lifetime if I'm not careful with how I handle them, especially being $3 earbuds.

But despite these problems, I'm still leaving a 5/5 rating. They are a great value! Nice fit and great sound for $3 with a few weird design decisions and slightly lacking bass? Hard to complain, really!

    Disappointing

Based on reviews, I expected better sound quality. I guess I've been spoiled in the past with more pricey earbuds. Sound is "okay" but I should have spent a bit more.

    What a disappointment!

    Pros: Inexpensive
    Fit

    Cons: Tinny sound
    Very quiet bass
    Hissy

I was so disappointed in these earbuds. From the reviews they looked like the cat's meow, the bee's knees, sliced bread.... But, they are hissy, tinny, and - most unexpectedly - very quiet in the bass department. Listening to both music and voice, I felt like the whole bottom was just not there. Well, I can't argue with spending $3 on ear buds that aren't so good. The good news is that they taught me that I actually CAN wear earbuds. I don't know if I could work out in them, but for walking and driving/sitting, they actually stayed in my very strangely shaped ears. Love Monoprice. Won't hold this against them! Just wanted to put in this experience with them.
