Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones - Silver

With a stylish design and a premium fabric-covered cord, these Monoprice earphones will prompt complete strangers to ask you where you got them, but you won't hear a word they say as you rock on down the highway!

Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit.

The 48" cord is completely covered in fabric, which helps prevent breakages. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors.

The end result is a pair of earphones that are made for the rigors of daily use from the music fan on the go! Amazing sound clarity, hard-rocking bass, and durability. Who could ask for more?

What? You want Aerosmith to play at your birthday party? OK, you CAN ask for more!

Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

    The earphones sound fine,
They have a tight fit that becomes uncomfortable in my ear after listening for longer than 90 min
I still use them frequently for shorter periods of time.

Ok sound, but the cable is useless

Pros: ok sound for the price

    Cons: the cable

The sound quality is about what you'd expect for this price and the noise cancelling is half decent.

The problem though is that the cable rubs on my sweater when I'm walking around it seems to build up a static charge which causes crackling in the ear buds

Fabric covering/thin cable is not good, get the white pair.

I own the white pair and the silver pair. I like the looks of the silver one better, but the cabling on the white one is better. The actual cable inside the braid on the silver is much thinner and more fragile than the whilte one. I would reccomend getting that.

Or monoprice should just get rid of the braid use the same cable as the white one.

Great value but fabric covering is worthless

I like to lay in bed and listen to podcasts and these earphones are the most comfortable I've ever had. They are a great value BUT the fabric covering is awful. Very soon after usage the fabric covering tears and the wires start to protrude out. The only way to fix it is to cut the fabric to relieve the stress and then use some nail polish on the cut fabric ends to keep everything in place. I love the feel, price and sound but the wiring is a mess and I don't recommend..

Large drivers with 3 day burn in

Pros: Rich mid tones that are not overpowered when bass comes through. Great airtight seal. Good design to get that big of a driver in your ear.

Cons: As any new speaker or earphone, they must be stretched out before sounding as good as they're intended to.

I got the chrome plastic ones, and after wearing them for too long the rough edges fatigue my ears. I cannot speak for the rubber coated versions, I'm sure they would be much more comfortable.

Out of the box these sounded tight and compressed as any new earphones, but I could absolutely tell there was an extra 7mm of surface area being made audible. It took a few days of burning them in, but now they're trumping any skullcandies, JVC marshmallows, or apple earpods I have ever tried.

In order to beef out the sound I had to stretch the drivers with this playlist for a few days.
