Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone

DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.

The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.

The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!

The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.

The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.

High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

Sixteen dollars for an excellent pair of collapsible headphones with detachable cables. Awesome deal!

Great sound but bad build quality

    Pros: Great sound
    Fairly priced

    Cons: Cheap quality
uncomfortable for the first few weeks of use until you can adjust or buy new ear cup pads

So I bought these back in august as a replacement for an old broken pair and for the convenience of having a detachable cable.
They sound great, a bit uncomfortable but you can get used to it but as of today I noticed that the right ear cup doesn't push against my head anymore and found a small crack on the joint holding the ear cup to the frame. Only a couple of months and it's falling apart, I don't treat my stuff roughly but here I am with a pair of headphones just waiting to fall apart.

Pros: Make an awesome, cheap, gaming headset (less than 50$) with V-MODA or KetDirect Mic.
    Little sister loved it.
Lasted over a year and still going strong.
Detachable cable, which a lot of other headphones don't have.
    Under 20$.
Durable, as far as casual use goes.

Cons: Truthfully, none that I can see.

I bought my first pair on Amazon a year back for about 19$. They didn't break, but my little sister needed way better headphones than the 5$ ones she got at Walmart. Got her these at 15.99$ here because the sound is amazing and it's honestly a really good build for the price.

I hope they never stop making these, because if mine break down the road because I'm such a klutz, I'm coming back for more. I have no idea how these compare to more expensive, audiophile headphones, but from Apple Earpods, they were definitely many steps up. Plus, if you add the V-MODA BoomPro Gaming Mic for 25-30$ or even the KetDirect ones from 20-22$, they make for an awesome gaming headset.

Thanks for making such reliable headphones.

    A fantastic value

    Pros: Excellent Value
    Good looks
    Relatively comfortable
    Good sound quality and detail

    Cons: Plastic feels rather cheap
Stock ear pads can get warm and cause sweating
Sound is a bit colored (hyped low mids, understated highs)

These are absolutely amazing for the price. Think of the kind of headphones that $16 can get you at a local retailer. These blow them out of the water. The swappable cord is a nice feature, and they look pretty decent. I'm using the white replacement pads, so they have sort of a unique look and feel. The sound quality is decent, but it is noticeably colored. The low mids are a tad hyped while the highs are a bit understated. Overall, if you're looking for some casual listening headphones or you are a dj and need some cue headphones, these will work just fine.

Once I was happy but, I give up on these headphones. It's time for something better.

    Pros: sound
    sturdy detachable cable

    Cons: cheap Chinese manufacturing
    cracks and then breaks easily

Like a lot of people, I first found these by various forums promising great sound for a low price. I have paid somewhere around close to $30 for them and as low as $15.99 at other times. The sound quality is good. I wish there was 15% more bass to them, but I have a problem that makes these no longer matter to me.

That problem is build quality. If I were to buy another one of these, it would be my fifth set in just a few years. That is ridiculous. Monoprice has replaced them at least twice I think, so I'm not wanting any more replacements because that's just almost stealing at this point. But I am here to warn other people at what I have been experiencing.

First of all I notice that the price has stayed low for a long time now. I have to believe that Monoprice has found an even cheaper maker or cheaper materials to make this headphone. I brought a pair for my brother and he babies his gear like nobody I know. He never dropped them once. He only used then about ten times. He shows me how the plastic frame of his headphones were cracking all over the place. Finally they cracked to pieces and fell apart. And these were practically new!!!

I told mine have gone strong for about two years. That was until I looked closely at them and saw that they were hairline cracked all over. About a month later, mine fell apart into pieces. And I was done then. Totally done with this product.

It's time to leave the low budget game behind if that means I need to buy these every year. It want something built with some respect for the customer. Not everyone can afford to keep replacing headphones.
I'm sharing my disappointment with other forums to because I don't want people to have to deal with this mess like I have.
