These are great and a huge improvement over terminating with RJ45 ends

PROS: sturdy, compact and low cost

CONS: If you're not careful, you can misread the wire arrangement sequence for the B standard

    Perfect Simple Ethernet Jack Solution
I used a couple of these boxes for the rooms where I didn't want to go through the trouble of putting a jack in the wall. These are really easy to set up and come with screws to mount as well as sticky double-sided foam tape. My only complaint I don't understand why the pins aren't numbered sequentially, (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6...). It was just a little confusing, really doesn't matter as long as you make sure the other end of the cable is wired exactly the same. Also I used a really thin flathead screwdriver to push the wires down, make sure they are all the way down.

PROS: Inexpensive, sturdy, easy to use.

CONS: Was not a fan of the instructions, not a deal breaker.

Easy installation! You'll need a 110-blade punchdown tool. The box is small and unobtrusive. It includes screws and sticky tape for mounting to just about any surface.

Just one thing to watch out for: the blue/blue-white wires are switched with respect to all the other pairs. I didn't have a cable tester, so I am unable to say if this is a typo in the documentation.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this outlet box.

    Solid little enclosure
Very nice little box for terminating cat5e. I used mine to house a 1-wire temp sensor (DS18B20) soldered some 24awg leads to the sensor, punched those down in the box, and then connected the sensor to my 1-wire network with cat5e

PROS: great value for the price.

CONS: a little larger than I need, but looks nice surface mounted on walls, panels, ceilings

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these terminal boxes they were much better than I expected them to be. Easy termination and they even come with a small tie wrap to secure the cable. I would highly recommend these.

PROS: Good looking and very usable

    CONS: none

    RJ45 jack w/ housing
I've been using a variety of RJ45 inserts for a long time (ICC has been my favorite) and, of course, having to buy separate surface boxes to go with them. No more. These all-in-one jacks are the perfect solution. They punch down very easily and are even attractive. Can't beat the price, as inserts and separate boxes are normally far more.

PROS: Convenient, very inexpensive, space saving.

CONS: I have to use up my existing supplies of inserts and surface boxes.

    Great Value
This is an excellent value when considering cost of individual components: enclosure and keystone jack. Removing cover does not require a tool.

PROS: This product is an excellent value because cost of item is less than cost of enclosure and keystone jack. Removing cover does not require a tool.

CONS: Size is a bit large, but acceptable. Would prefer a more compact model. A label writing area is missing.

    Excellent Value
Excellent value and I will buy more. Previously we bought separate housings and separate RJ45 jacks

PROS: This is a great value because purchasing housing and RJ45 jack separately costs more. Cover easily removes without tools

CONS: Slightly larger than separate pieces from other manufacturers

    does the job
sturdy plastic, included zip-tie for securing the cable and both screws and double-stick pad for mounting options. I wasn't aware this required a punch-down tool (just didn't think to check, I see it is in the description) but I was able to secure the wires with a very-thin screwdriver, even correcting a misplaced wire without issue. Works great, worth the 2 bucks.

Worst thing I've gotten from Monoprice, but still not bad
I bought 10 of these just to have around for special situations, and recently I used 4 of them. Of the 4, 3 had 7/8 pair (brown/white and brown) reversed if you wired them according to the B color code on the jack, although it was correct on the packaging. This was bad enough, but they're not consistent. One of the jacks was wired in the way it was labeled on the jack and wrong according to the packaging. Checking each one pair by pair wasted a bunch of time.

PROS: Very handy for creating a network jack on non-hollow walls.
Attaches via included double-sided tape or screws.
Cable can come out the back or through the bottom.

CONS: Jack wiring is not consistent.
