Good quality item. Really tightens well to the drywall, makes mounting the wall plate solid.

    CONS: None.

These are awesome, so much better than the ones that I bought from the home improvement stores first. Once you've carefully cut the hole with a drywall saw, installing these are easy, they attach themselves solidly, and they even look professional before you put the plate on top of them. I bought more than I needed so I had some for the next room I'm going to work on.

PROS: Easy to install, looks good, attach to the wall more solidly than the flimsy metal tab ones you buy at the big stores, sit more flush than the plastic screw-on ones my electrician installed.

PROS: Quality product, cheap price. Dresses up nicely.

Monoprice over hardware store any day!
These are great for low voltage installs. I like how the anchor is in the top more so in the middle. This prevents bowing on the edges. Something from the hardware store will have the anchors on the edges that all the corners to pop up when screwing on a cover plate.

Good product. Easy to Instal. Holds up well against the wall. Just ensure you cut the drywall to the right size to give some strength to the holding bracket.

Works beautifully - used them to do some re-wiring in the living room's sound system. Ordered a handful, and glad I did - had to use one of these to replace the construction box in the wall before me had broke when I was taking off the old faceplate. Installed PID:3326 using one of these, as well as a coax wallplate I bought from Target.

PROS: Fits standard wallplates as well - not just Monoprice plates. open back makes for routing wires and cables MUCH easier than a construction box.

CONS: No template - have to use a level, measurements, checking, repeat or else worry about cutting too much of the drywall away and leaving a large hole in the wall. May want to use a drywall saw or a large (3") sharp pocket-knife to cut the hole.

These are absolutely great for low voltage wiring, and simple to install. Simply cut a rectangular hole and insert, then screw the little wings tight. These are great on walls with really tight spaces behind, too, since they can easily be cut to protrude as little as 1cm or so behind the wall.

They are a bit flimsy so don't try to force them too much.

    PROS: Minimal, effective design.

CONS: You need to make your own cutout template (one-time task).

    Simple, effective
All there really is to say about this is it works like any other on the market, just fine. If you need it, get it here.

PROS: Simple, effective, works like any other I've installed.

CONS: I had to pay for it.
