Pros: Easy to install if you follow the comments.

Take the disc that comes with it and throw it away. Then follow the instructions listed in the comments here for using the Broadcom drivers and you'll be up and running in minutes.

Pros: Low profile, easy to configure

Cons: CD that comes with it is worthless, download the drivers.

Take the CD that comes with this and throw it away. Download the BROADCOM drivers linked in other review and follow those instructions. Took me less than 10 minutes to get everything installed and paired with my headphones.

Multiple dongles stopped working on separate Windows 7 machines, roughly during the same time period.

Pros: All bluetooth dongles worked with Windows 7 after updating the drivers between 2012-2015.

Cons: Bluetooth dongles no longer work on Windows 7 desktops since latter half of 2015.

Bought three of these Bluetooth v4.0 dongles over 3 years ago during Winter 2012 for use with my bluetooth headsets on my Windows 7 desktop machines at home and at the studio.

After upgrading drivers recommended by other reviewers, the dongles worked great and I had no issues for a couple of years.

Sometime in 2015, both dongles stopped working (the third was given away to a friend prior, so no longer in possession of it), roughly around the same time (latter half of the year? Can't remember).

I spent hours of research, troubleshooting, and uninstalling and reinstalling different drivers over several days using two, confirmed working bluetooth headsets I owned (tested with phones/ipad/tablets/Windows 10 laptops with built in bluetooth) to see if I may have missed something.

My personal home machine stopped working with both Bluetooth dongles first, and several weeks later, my machine at the studio also stopped working with both of the Bluetooth dongles.

My best guess is a Windows Update has compromised these dongles (my work machine gets updated by IT after they've approved of Updates from Microsoft, so it takes a while longer).

Would love a solution Monoprice, please look into it, and let me know what I can do to assist in the matter.

Only tested in Windows 7, not tested on other machines running different operating systems.

BSOD in latest Windows 10 update

In my prior review I mentioned that on Win 10 you should use WIDCOMM drivers from Broadcom. After the most recent Windows Update (March 2016), I now get a full-out BSOD every time I connect my BT headphones to the BT adapter. If this happens to you try updating the Broadcom drivers: Right click Start - Device Manager - Bluetooth - right click Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Device - Update Driver Software... - Search Automatically - restart. This fixed the problems for me. HTH

Iread the reviews and saw that several others had found a way to the correct drivers to make this work with Windows 10. I followed the advice and attempted this installation several times but no luck. Alas it is off to the tech junk drawer with it.
