Great hardware but wish it worked without driver installation

Pros: Great hardware, great range, tiny package

Cons: Needs drivers, doesn't include working drivers

This doesn't work out of the box with Windows 10 x64. The driver disc contains drivers that don't work, at least on this platform. As an earlier review said (AND THANK YOU, LIFE SAVER!), grab the WIDCOMM® Bluetooth Windows® Software directly from Broadcomm, and it works like a charm. https://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth

    Pros: Quick and easy install.

    Cons: None so far.

This bluetooth dongle works perfect for connecting my PS3 controllers to my PC.

    Works as expected

Pros: Inexpensive, low profile, setup is simple (Windows 10)

Cons: Instructions supplied and drivers are for operating systems that are antiquated.

This product worked as I expected. After looking at the instructions which only went up to Win 7 OS, I decided to just plug the device into a usb slot on my Win 10 laptop. Win 10 automatically loaded drivers and no the device worked without any adjustments. A bluetooth headset and speaker connected with no issues. Rating would have been a 10 if documentation had been more up to date to include current operating systems.

    Works GREAT - Almost...

Pros: Small, inexpensive, Broadcom chipset, ver 4.0

Cons: Old drivers, hidden software on install, difficult to setup in Windows with included software.

This will work great once you go and get the BROADCOM WIDCOMM drivers. Don't even install the the disc that came with this, THROW IT AWAY. Goto https://www.broadcom.com/support/?gid=2
and download the second item WIDCOMM Bluetooth Windows Software. This will handle everything you need and connect easily.

on PC1, was able to install the broadcom update and use the dongle with a MSFT BT keyboard right away. on PC2, I couldn't install the broadcom update (it would stop at verfiy device, and give a certificate error). However it was still able to run, I guess with built-in drivers. we'll see how it performs down the road.
