Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.
Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

Pros: Lightweight, bends easily which is great because I have to send it through a curved pipe to a wall mounted TV, labeled well to show which end connects to what, and very affordable
Cons: The shipment took longer than I expected
The cable is great. It works very well and I have really good picture quality. I needed a cable that would bend easily through a pipe and connect to my wall-mounted TV. It has been operational for three days and so far I have not experienced any challenges.
Nice Cable, but Doesn't always work on Power Up

Pros: Lightweight, thin.
Cons: Doesn't always work like a larger, passive HDMI cable.
The cable is slim, lightweight, and works once initialized.
I have a MacBook Pro. What I wanted was a cable that would reliably drive a monitor from the moment I started up the Mac. What I got is a cable that sometimes does that, and sometimes needs to be removed from the HDMI port after a boot, then re-inserted in order to start driving the monitor. I tried it connected at the HDMI port, then tried it using a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI converter at a Thunderbolt port, with the same results.
I suspect the circuitry in the cable connectors that provide the bandwidth and amplification need some initial conditions that the Mac port does not provide at power-up.

Works great with 4K ultra HD TVs. Thin and slim design is better than the old bulky HDMI wires

Pros: I bought several of these cables and have been uniformly pleased with them. Are they "better" than other cables? I can't say, not being a cable engineer, but what I can say is that they are well made and have delivered very good pictures on all the equipment I've tried them on, including my FiOS STB and a couple of computers. Their small size and flexibility are strong points. The price is much better that what I find at other electronics/computer retailers.
Cons: Not much of a con, but you have to be careful to connect the correct ends to the source and output devices, but those are clearly marked.
Quality merchandise at a fair price. You can't ask for more than that.

Pros: The cable is remarkably thin
It's easy to route through tight turns and the wall
Thin connections so it fits closely spaced inputs well
Cons: Directional (expected though)
I used this cable to hook up a Wii U to my wall mounted TV. I had previously used another brands "basic" 10' HDMI cable and it was very thick and hard to route into the wall and out to the TV. The cable is on this one is super thin and nicely covered in a braided sheath. I was honestly shocked at how thin the cable is. It is super easy route through the wall and out to the side HDMI input on the TV. There are several very small radius turns and it was no problem at all. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the cable is directional. It is clearly marked which end is for the source and which is for the TV though. Overall I plan to use these RedMere cables for all my future HDMI needs.
