3ft 28AWG High Speed HDMI® to Adapter DVI Cable w / Ferrite Cores - Black

    *** !!! WARNING !!! ***

Note that this cable is NOT an ordinary HDMI® cable. This is specifically for connecting a device with an HDMI connector to another device equipped with a Single Link DVI-D connector, typically found on PCs, projectors, and older video equipment before the HDMI standard became widespread. These cables can NOT carry audio. They carry video signals only!

If you are looking for a High Speed HDMI Cable or a Standard HDMI Cable to connect equipment with HDMI connectors, please look at one of the following categories instead:

    *** !!! WARNING !!! ***

This HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable is capable of video performance equivalent to a High Speed HDMI Cable.

Ferrite Cores are small magnetic blocks wrapped around the end of a cable. They are used to suppress EMI/RFI electronic noise on the cable by absorbing the unwanted high frequencies and dissipating them as very low-level heat. This is the simplest and cheapest form of electronic noise reduction and is most effective on small gauge cabling, which is inherently more susceptible to electronic noise interference than thicker cables.

This cable is capable of the following HDMI video features:

    • 1080p Resolution - The High Speed HDMI Cable has sufficient bandwidth to transfer 1080p video signals between 1080p rated source and sink (display) devices.

    • 3D - 3D is the latest rage for both home theater and gaming. A High Speed HDMI Cable is capable of handling the high bandwidth requirements of 3D signals.

    • 4K - The 4K resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels @ 24 Hz, which is four times that of a 1080p display and the same resolution used by state-of-the-art Digital Cinema systems. A High Speed HDMI Cable is capable of handling the high bandwidth required for 4K support.

    • Deep Color - The Deep Color feature provides a minimum of 8-bits per color element (24-bits total), providing for a total of over 16 million color variations. Other versions of Deep Color allow for up to 16-bits per element, for a total of 48-bits and over 281 trillion color variations, which really makes your video images come to life!

    • x.v.Color™ - x.v.Color is a promotion name given to the products that have the capability to realize a wide color space based on the xvYCC specifications and is a trademark of Sony Corporation. Currently, only AVCHD™ and Playstation™ 3 devices support x.v.Color.

It boggles my mind that anyone would pay more than a few dollars for an HDMI cable.

    PROS: Under 3 dollars.

    Good quality, sufficient
This cable is what it should be - solid, well made, good price, and works well. When i upgraded my computer from one with a VGA port to one with a HDMI port, I thought I might be able to use my older external monitor (you cannot convert a HDMI to a VGA because an HDMI is digital and a VGA is analog). But then I discovered my monitor also had a DVI port on the back, which carries both analog and digital, so I now successfully use this cable to connect the HHDMI to the monitor though the DVI connector.

PROS: Solid construction, good price, works as it should

I am using this cable from my laptop to my 23" monitor.
This works perfect and now I have dual monitors.

    PROS: well made cable

    CONS: None

    USB to HDMI Video Cables
I need to connect a PC monitor from a HDMI port to the monitors DVI port. This cable did the trick with out having to have any adapters.

    PROS: Price,

    Easy to install and configure.

CONS: The Ferrite Cores are large and can get in the way.

DVI Monitor Connected to Laptop's HDMI Port
The Dell XPS17 laptop I wanted to purchase did not have a DVI port supplied or available. I wanted to connect an external 24" monitor. The solution was to purchase this HDMI/DVI cable. Now my laptop has the Samsung external monitor (DVI connection) connected to a Dell laptop (HDMI connection) with full functionality. This totally makes up for there being no DVI port on the laptop.

PROS: It works perfectly . . . exactly as it should. Inexpensive.

    CONS: None

Been using Mopoprice products for some time now and I've never had a problem.
These cables worked out great for sharing a monitor between two computers.
No extra adaptors and no excess cable to hide away!

    Very happy
I'm extremely happy with this cable. I was getting a very fuzzy picture on my LCD monitor using a regular VGA cable from my new laptop. My laptop has an HDMI out but my monitor doesn't have an HDMI input, so I found this HDMI/DVI cable and it works like a charm. I am very pleased with the picture quality on my monitor now and the price at MonoPrice can't be beat. I only wish I had bought the 6' instead of the 3' cable to give myself a little more play in the positioning of my laptop on my desk.

    PROS: Excellent video quality.

CONS: I should have bought the 6' cable instead of the 3', but that's on me.

I had doubts about buying this, i thought there would be quality loss, but this is just like one you would buy from walmart, but for a fraction of the price!

Hey, will this work from DVI to HDMI. My HD Reviever has a DVI out and my projector has a HDMI in.
