    18inch SATA 6Gbps Cable w/Locking Latch (90 Degree to 180 Degree) - UV Blue

Each major revision of the Serial ATA interface specification has doubled the maximum data transfer rate. The latest SATA Revision 3.0 allows for data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gb/s.

While the cables for all three revisions appear to be similar and will physically fit into the connectors on all SATA drives and controllers, the higher data transfer rate of SATA 6 Gb/s requires higher quality materials and closer tolerances than the previous two revisions required.

Monoprice SATA 6 Gb/s cables are certified to provide maximum speeds from your SATA system, up to 6 Gb/s when used with equivalent devices and controllers.

One end of this internal cable features a straight connector, while the other end uses a 90-degree connector, which can make for better cable management in some situations, especially in tight spaces. Each end has an attached locking latch, to ensure that your connections do not come loose due to movement or vibration.

    Worked perfectly

Pros: Works perfectly well, latches well, no disk errors

Cons: Latch tab sticks out a bit much, made cramming it into the riser on the motherboard for two of my SATA spots a little tricky.

I bought a batch of cables like this (PIDs 8783, 8785, & 8788), two each, and used them to replace an old batch of SATA cables that I'd had for years that seemed to be the cause of some disk errors I was seeing. After installing these, everything seemed fine and right-angle portion in particular was very useful to the cramped space in my case.

Pros: Good quality, and well described.

Cons: None that i can see.

Good quality and cheap cables. Bought 5 for a NAS setup and all installed and work without issue.

Pros: Quality SATA cables! Will always use these instead of the one's that come with the motherboard!

    Cons: A little stiff

These work great and I know they are made of quality material. I buy all my cables from Monoprice!

Pros: Works as intended, no problems experienced with cables

    Cons: None

Had to install a 2nd hard drive in a desktop, and figured just to swap the existing cable with 2 identical cables for aesthetics. Worked perfectly.
