3ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black

The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.

The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.

Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.

Great for components THAT DON'T MOVE. Not recommended for mobile devices that will be moved about.

These are great quality and price. I found they work best for devices that will not be moving at all.

For me, I use the RCA-3.5mm/female cord to plug into a 3.5mm/male/male cord to plug my DVD player into my large Fluance Fi50 bluetooth stereo speaker auxillary port so I can play CD's on my bluetooth stereo. It works great for that application, the cord and dvd player never move at all.

It doesent work as well with mobile/small devices, or even laptop, because these get moved and it (generally) can cause sound to drop in and out from the connector moving.

Read the complete description, these cables are BIG!

Pros: The kids won't be able to break them.

    Cons: Bulky

Ordered five of them because my girlfriend always loses them in some friend's car. When I opened the box I thought there were 2 cables in each bag. They are too bulky to use in a mobile fashion but it is clearly stated in the product description. Going to buy the slimmer ones eventually

    This cable is FAT

    Pros: N/A, I didn't open the package

    Cons: This thing is MASSIVE

WARNING: doesn't seem like the product to use with your phone.

I'm looking for a thin cable to use with my phone in the car. I bought the wrong product and I couldn't tell how thick the cable is from the product picture. My rating of 5 is not for product quality, just make sure you're buying what you think you're getting.

    Hi Roberto,

For phone applications, I strongly recommend using either our Mobile or Flat series cables as they are designed to provide more flexibility and easier penetration through cases.

and PID 11502 for a 3ft Flat cable:

Please note that this Premium cable is intended for more permanent connections as it is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable. Sorry for the trouble and I hope this helps!

    Too big to fit anything

Pros: High Quality Build, I guess.

Cons: Too Big to fit anything.

These cables did not fit into anything that I needed them for: the back of a portable record player, an ipod touch and the back of the computer speakers I was going to use with it, and the main thing I bought it for, which was the Monoprice headphones.

    Hello Sean,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for any inconvenience with PID 5576. If I may ask, which headphones you purchased them for? The 5576 does have pretty large connector head housings. We do have smaller connector head housings with our designed for mobile 3.5mm cables such as PID 9764.

Pros: Appears to be very high quality

    Cons: Very bulky

Won't work for my application because the molding at the bottom of the connector is too big and bulky. The 3.5mm jack on my bluetooth transmitter/receiver is recessed slightly and the connector cannot go all the way in as needed because the molding on the cable impacts the bluetooth unit.

    Hello,

Thank you for your review on PID 5576. I am truly sorry that this cable is too bulky for your application. Please note that our Premium series cables are our heaviest duty cables which makes them the largest. For small, recessed ports, I strongly recommend either our Mobile or Flat series 3.5mm cables instead as they have a thin connector housing. Please see PID 9764 for a 3ft Mobile 3.5mm cable in black:

or PID 11502 for a 3ft Flat 3.5mm cable in black:

    http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021820&p_id=11502&seq=1&format=2&rep=gab

Should you have any questions regarding our products or need help with recommendations in the future, please feel free to contact our tech support team via live chat, phone, or email and we would be happy to assist you. My apologies again for the trouble and I hope this helps!
