Pros: none

Cons: Dead on Arrival. Powers on, but does not pass a video signal at all.

Gave it a shot even though other reviewers had some DOA devices. I took a chance and it did not pay off. Now I have to wait on the return and refund process which apparently can take multiple days. Not interested in trying another one since there's a good chance it will waste even more of time. Would not recommend this product.

Better and Cheaper than those "Magic" ones

Pros: It does exactly what I wanted and expected it to do at a fraction of the cost of the "Magic" units we have that flick out often.

Cons: absolutely none!

Moonrise really came through on this unit. We bought one as a test and now I know where we'll get any future SDI to HDMI (or HDMI to SDI) converters. Its compact, light-weight, and does exactly what it is supposed to without issue.

Pros: Price point.

Cons: Quality seems to be hit or miss.

Purchased 5 of these about 3 months ago, 1 was DOA and another one is failing. Product was back order for a month so I could not order a replacement. Not planning on purchasing again.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about your experience with PID 10318. For the failing unit, have you tried switching out the HDMI cable in use or testing with a different display to see if anything changes? We do offer a 30 day return policy as well as a one year warranty on this item. Should the issue continue, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement, which will be of no additional cost to you. Please let me know how you would like to proceed so that I may further assist you.

Pros: Works great

This converter works just as well as the higher priced, high-end convertersbut you don't have to pay extra for a brand name. I recommend it for anyone looking to convert sdi to hdmi, and save some bucks in the process! I bought 2 of them!

Pros: Works PERFECT!!

Cons: none

Works as it says, I run 1 200' HD-SDI cable to the front of ballroom, then loop out to another 100' to a monitor, then loop to another monitor that's another 100'
