    1X2 Mini HDMI® Splitter w/ 3D support

Watch your video content on two displays at the same time using this 1x2 HDMI® Splitter from Monoprice!

This splitter features a small footprint, allowing it to be hidden behind your home theater equipment. It has a single HDMI input port and two HDMI output ports, each of which are gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections. The splitter draws all the power it needs from the HDMI connection itself. However, an external 5 VDC power supply can be used instead.

The splitter supports High Speed HDMI signals, which means that it supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p Resolution - It supports the full 1080p@60Hz HDMI resolution.
    • 3D Video - It supports all standard HDMI 3D modes.
    • Deep Color - It supports deep color up to 12-bits per channel, 36-bits total.
    • High Definition Audio - It supports high-definition multi-channel audio signals, including Dolby TrueHD™ and DTS-HD Master Audio™.

Note: Monoprice strongly recommends using 22AWG, 24AWG, or active HDMI cables with Redmere technology to achieve the best results and to ensure minimum signal loss over longer distances.

Does not work without the power cord

The description says it will work with or without the power plugged in, however it will not work without power. I was hoping not to always have it plugged in. Other than that, it works well.

Pros: Easy setup small size simplicity.

    Cons: none.

Bought this as a replacement for my Rocketfish HDMI splitter. Took 4 minutes to install works just fine, with no issues.

Easy to Use and Works Years Later

    Pros: Works after years
    Easy to use

Cons: The plug is horribly big. It covers two outlets on my surge protector and gets in the way of a third depending on what you plug in that one.

Been using this to so I could run my 360 (and then Xbox One) through both my TV and monitor for "split screen" sessions and it still works well after all these years. Didn't have to change any settings or I don't run any maintenance on it. It just works when I need to use it.

Sort of obvious and it has nothing to do with the splitter, but something i didn't realize until I started using it: if you have a 720 monitor/tv and a 1080 tv/monitor you will only get the lowest of the display settings on both. Probably not a problem now with what monitors are being made at and I have since upgraded my monitor. Just in case and an FYI, though.

I installed a second TV in the patio and needed to split the signal from the Dish receiver. It took 5 minutes to install and no maintenance whatsoever. It does the job. Good price.
